Getting to planning my grand exit and been thinking about how I would go about leaving a note. I have some friends that I chat with daily online who are literally the only few people who would miss me. Is it wise for me to tell them about what became of me or to just have my account be inactive forever? I think they're both cruel options, but I'm not sure which is better in this case. If I were to leave a note, it would be a message that would be timed to send after I've CTB-ed in our private discord server.

I've had to think on that as well. Making a note for online friends is difficult. When I commited the first time I chose not to leave one (which was good due to my failure). However when I try to again I do plan on leaving a note. I feel it may give them better closure than to go completely silent.

Personally, I think saying goodbye is better so they aren't left wondering what happened. A delayed send message is good.

ye, closure is the key word, ain't it, when talking about the Note... I personally would leave one if I knew they needed it

thanks for the tips everyone, i really appreciate it. I think I will draft a note since it's the only thing I can do right now to forward my plan since I'm waiting for a moment alone. Probably something along the lines of a thank you and reassuring my online friends it's not their fault? I do love them dearly, and I know they'll be deeply hurt by this, but I don't really know what else to add. I feel like I've been living to make others happy all my life, and i want to do this selfish thing for once.

Hopefully those who matter to you will understand, but even if they don't, know that you are justified... noone should live Only to prevent the hurt of others

Thank you, I'm glad you understand. That's why I'm going to take the time to get my things in order to give people some sense of closure.

haha thank you, kaveh is the prettiest boy. Glad to find another appreciator here. video games have helped distract from the pain, however small the effects may be.

Hi, I'm unsure if this would help but one of my best friends CTB in December (online friend, I don't have any IRL haha), and he left me the most lovely message. He just explained how it was not any fault of mine, how he had been feeling guilty for a while and how this was inevitable but he loved me and how he wanted me to know that this was not my fault. I hope this helps :)

Thank you, this is helpful! I'm very glad to hear that your friend gave you such a wonderful goodbye and I hope he has found peace on the other side.

I'm definitely going to focus the core of my message on how much I valued their friendship in my darkest times and reassuring them. Ultimately, this my choice was my own, there really was nothing they could have done to prevent this since my mental state was already deteriorating years before I met them.
