Like you, I am still here. I woke up this morning after a fitful night of sleep. Sleep is my only escape.

Although I wake up in an empty bed I am not truly alone. Before the sun rises, before I open my eyes, that large and overwhelming presence slips back in and reminds me that it's never going away. It will get worse as I face yet another day of pain and hopelessness.

I carry it with me until I can fall asleep again.
