I've not seen anyone speak of commiting by starvation? If I don't drink anything or eat anything what is the likelihood it'll work? I'm a large female (5'2 and 201 pounds) I started 3 days ago at 215 pounds. I'm not doing it for weight loss I could care less about that, I want to die so I'm doing it for death not to look good. When I was a teen I had anorexia (98 pounds at the time) but I was forced to eat and my motives were much different back then. Now that I'm an adult (20 years old) I won't be forced by anyone because the person I live with now doesn't know about anything like that. I won't be able to do any other methods (no transportation, money, or anything like that.) Would not eating or drinking anything just make me lose weight or will it actually successfully kill me. I don't mind pain or anything like that, I just want to make sure it'll kill me before March.

Dehydration is the most painful way to die. Look it up. Your life is not bad enough to even consider that method, trust me. And you would just wind up in the hospital. You won't be able to starve yourself, because you will wind up in the hospital on a feeding tube at some point.

Going to have to find another method. Maybe work on getting a job so you have more options...

Can't get a job unfortunately. My worker said I have court for disability in February. And yes, the I remember the feeding tube. I just thought maybe since this time no one would really find me or see me faint I wouldn't get to the hospital on time. My housemate doesn't really come around me too often (works alot) so I'd have days of alone time.

I've done this before and ended up in the hospital when I was much younger a few times but I don't remember much of it and I wasn't doing for death at the time. I didnt mind the pain at all. I was just worried it would take more than 3 months or that it wouldn't kill me at all. Pain doesn't bother me at all. I was just worried about time span and successfulness

It would take weeks, most people who do this to CTB have help to end their lives peacefully (they have a Dr. involved who provides meds to help you keep calm). Without the help from meds it is torture, our bodies try to fight to live whether we want to or not. It is faster to dehydrate at the same time but that is even more uncomfortable, I don't know if it would be painful but awful in a different way. If it takes weeks that is more time for someone to make you go to the hospital. I've looked into this method as well as the opposite, drinking too much water but I realized it would take a huge amount of water in a short time and I am already dealing with internal issues that would make it impossible to not use the restroom within twenty minutes or so. I'm sorry there are not better answers, I have similar restraints on what I can do and it is really frustrating to feel stuck.

Yes starvation would kill you but its risky and can take many weeks. If dehydrate at the same time then you can significantly shorten the time of death. You will be weak and in pain though.

I'm thinking of starving and dehydrating myself either to die by it or motivate me to take a faster violent method. I haven't eaten in 7 hours and I'm planning to not eat anymore. I'm planning to stop drinking in few minutes. Its very risky because I live with my family but I will see if I succeed or not.

It might be one of the worst ways to go, both time and pain-wise (starving takes weeks and dehydration takes a few days, give or take). If you're found during it you might be involuntarily hospitalized and forcefed. During the later stages of starvation it could even leave you with permanent brain or bodily damage.

It's just not realistically feasible, as it would take inhuman levels of perserverance/willpower to not eat or drink anything long enough to have your body shut down, not to mention the luck involved in staying hidden during that time.

I've tried starvation and dehydration in the last weeks. I don't think it's so bad in terms of pain; it just requires lots of patience and motivation. But I agree that it's incredibly slow; so slow that it's almost impossible to not be interrupted by someone or something.

I'm trying to starve myself now as well. I will still drink water though... I find that it's easier to not eat if I can at least fill my stomach with liquid. That, and dehydration sounds highly unpleasant.

I don't think not eating anything at all is doable, since most likely you'll give in to the hunger pangs after a couple of days, but restricting and counting calories/intermittent fasting like an anorexic does would probably have the same effect over time. I had anorexia back when I was 12 years old and it was a lot easier to lose weight by simply restricting because I was still growing at the time and thus my body needed to burn more energy, but It'll probably be a lot harder to do as an adult. Difficult yes, but not necessarily impossible.

I'm just unsure. It's been about 5 days without food or water. I've lost a little more than 15 pounds but other than that I feel fine. Like yeah I'm thirsty and I used to drink several bottles of water so I miss it a bit but I'm not hungry at all. First 3 days were dreadful without the water but like I said before, I don't mind pain at all anymore, had way worse happen than this if you know what I mean. I went out on walks the first few days but of course stopped (don't wanna pass out in public, would definitely be caught then) I now jog in place in my bedroom until I'm dizzy and nearly euphoric. I'm just worried I'm not dying considering nothing really hurts that bad. No food or water has been fine so far but possibly a little TOO fine. Maybe this isn't doing anything at all? I just hope I die from it and I'm not wasting my time is all. Dry mouth, skin, and eyes, but that doesn't bother me too much to be honest. It's a little chilly outside so maybe the dehydration will just take a bit longer considering it's not hot at all. Lips and fingers are a bit grey but that might just be something else considering it is a little chilly outside. I'm pretty darn stubborn and pain doesn't really bother me at all as I said before. I've been trying to die since age 9 (I'm nearly 21 now) so throughout the years and what I've done to myself I've gained a quite high pain tolerance so maybe no food or water is working it's just not hurting as much as I thought it would.

Has been the same for me. I think it's different from person to person; metabolism and fat reserves made a difference for sure. I've noticed the same grayish on my hands too; I think it depends on the reduced blood circulation. The bad thing is that this exposes you to some risks if you are forced to go outside for example: I live in a really cold place and (unluckily) I had to go outside and my hands was starting freezing very quickly, it was super painful and uncomfortable.

I think it's a difficult way to die, it's painfull and I think that in the end you'll drink something, it's hard to resist

My only addition to what's already been posted is that dehydration carries a risk of both short and long term kidney damage should you fail, and these risks may increase the longer and more frequently you are dehydrated.
