Patently false. I'm a millennial. I've wanted to die to various degrees nearly every day for over twenty years. I absolutely wanted to kill myself at 19, when I was young and my death would go relatively unnoticed.

Now, I'm older. And even though I still have bad days and still think about it, now I have people in my life I don't want to hurt, and I feel trapped.

Also, I've been hospitalized, I've tried several medications, I've talked to countless mental health professionals. And out of everything, the absolutely most helpful thing ever was hearing someone say "I don't want you to do it, but I even more want you to be happy. This decision is yours to make."

Most of us are here because we feel powerless and unable to control our own lives. Suicide is the ultimate way to claim control, and that's why we're drawn to it. Sometimes the most comforting thing is just a reminder that we're in control and this is our decision... and that's why this site exists.

So, feel free to think OP is too young, or their reasons are not valid; that's your right. But keep that shit to yourself and remind them that they are in control. Because sometimes that's all it takes, and it's better then any advice I've ever gotten from a "professional".

Don't worry. I know how it feels. There was a time when I did the full meto routine and sat there with SN in my hand. I stared at it for an hour. My heart started racing and everything stood still. I just wanted to vanish. I was filled with such emotions but I couldn't even cry. Needless to say, I didn't go through with it. I put the SN back in the cabinet and went to sleep.

I have full faith that when the time comes, you will make the right decision.

Ouch lol. Unfortunately, I am one of those Indian men. Born in America and raised in Australia. Though I would have to agree with you. Indians are usually quite hostile. I have had the pleasure of meeting a few good ones though.


Anyhow, to conclude, do not feel that you have wasted your time and energy on this. Life is quite troublesome but getting through the bad part is what matters.
