Start Chat Not Working?

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but I'm having an issue with the chat feature. When I click start chat and send a message, it takes me to a blank page. Then when I check my conversations, nothing is there.

Is this normal? Do I just need to wait for the other person to reply before the conversation appears, or could this be a bug on my end? Would appreciate any help, tysm!

Not a bug, you haven't unlocked chat yet, the conversation and chat feature aren't the same, you'll need more post to unlock chat unlike the conversation feature which require less. Hope this clears up the confusion.

Requirements to enter chat has been changed

I received some messages recently from members asking why they are unable to enter chat. We changed the requirements to enter chat to prevent trolls and alt-accounts from entering chats easily and pursuing malicious goals. Thanks for your understanding and I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused...

Oh, sorry for the confusion! When I say "chat," I dont mean like the global chat I mean PMing a single person, unless thats the same thing?

Like, when you click on someone's profile, there are options like "Follow," "Ignore," "Start Chat," and "Start Conversation." I've been clicking "Start Chat."

I recently received a PM from someone who was newer and had fewer comments/reactions than me, so I assumed the requirements for sending PMs were lower than whatever is needed to be in the chat, kind of like with the search function.

You can PM using " Start Conversation " as well, till you unlock the Chat feature that's displayed on the upper right side of SaSu, you won't be able to see the messages you sent when you use " Start Chat ". Apologies if I'm not understanding or answering your question properly.
