im 28 yo, and the best movies or tv shows that i have ever watched all seem to have been released in my boyish or early teen years. Spirited Away is the one film that stands out from all others, its an impossibly beautiful work of imagination in a world saturated with bland and unimaginative works. the Lord of the Rings trilogy was also a godsent series, nothing in film remotely resembling the depth and grandeur of that trilogy has ever came out since. as for anime, i will definitely rewatch yu yu hakusho again, i remember watching that show every friday night on tv and counting down the seconds until the next episode as soon as each one ended.

You've got some nice taste in film and animation! Have you also watched Hunter x Hunter?

Yu Yu Hakusho was great. I remember trying to place my hands together like I was firing a spirit gun lol.
Speaking of Spirited Away, I tried watching one of Studio Ghibli's other movies: "Grave of the Fireflies".

Was a bad idea.It was realistic with what could happen but also a very depressing ending.

havent watched hunterxhunter, i stopped having interest in anime for a long time now sadly... all the ones i tried since spirited away and yuyuhakusho fell vastly short of expectations. studio ghibli made 6 out of the top ten films by gross in japan, they are something else :-). would like to add Person of Interest to my list of greatest shows aired. watching that series not only rekindled every great feeling i've ever felt from discovering something great, it gives me hope for the future :-)
