What if the physical body is a parasite that has latched onto the ego for procreation? This means the ego is the real self. The flesh is a parasite. The only real "flesh" are single cellular organisms. Anything with consciousness, even animals... are just a parasite feeding on the ego.

In this "life" your vessel is temporary, the ego, self, spirit is then carried onto the next life (reincarnation) as an existential chain to "consciousness".

Concepts of Buddhism can range from what is considered the continuous cycles of hell (where we get philosophically deeper) and the reincarnated self is a vessel that aligns with your "karma".

Karma is not cause and effect but a concept (this is probably where the parasite talk will resonate with you) where action and being become a part of the conscious extension to all your lives.

Nirvana (enlightenment) is the consciousness completeness that separates vessel from spirit (the Buddha's reincarnations are those physical traces).

Our continuous hell, comes from not death, but the re-experience of life with no conscious awareness of the last while Re living the suffering of what "alive" means.

You can take the story of Buddha for what it's worth. I wasn't talking about the life of Siddhartha in my rambling. I was talking about a concept billions of people already believe in. The only difference between my explanation and yours is I didn't use the word parasite. I personally love the metaphor and meaning you give it.

I can only assume based on your username, you grew up around Buddhism and I didn't mean it that way or to trigger anything. I was only commenting to invite discussion, not trample on your beliefs.
