Yes I think we all have to be a bit more careful. (Me included. I admit that I am hyper focused on scammers these days.)

Most people on here are truthful and honest and while a certain amount of scepticism is required (as it is on every online forum), we shouldn't silence those who report failed attempts. It is in our own interest to know as much as possible about those failures and potential issues. And of course we still are a community that exists to support fellow members - technically and emotionally.

That user took 20 grams without throwing up and just 'felt a bit drowsy' the next day. Literally impossible. They went on to say they couldn't remember if the taste was salty, but remember it was bitter. There's no way they actually took SN.

Sadlt it sounds like they were scammed and it isn't actually sn.

Yeah the photo they posted of their "SN" wasn't really it. SN is not that grainy. that was some highly crystalline salt. No doubt they were sold something else under the guise of SN

Or else maybe it was sn but it wasn't stored properly- in too much heat- and this wrecked it.

Nah their salt was chonky. It was granulated. Like kosher salt

The chunkiness varies- I searched online for sodium nitrite photos and it varies a lot- I was going to posts the photos here but people can see by searching on google images for sodium nitrite- some photos are very powdery and some are very chunky- the consistency can vary a lot.

I've worked with it for 6 years. I have seen tons of it and from technical grade to emsure grade. It is never grainy on the account of how its made. It can be a bit granular but never chonky grains like those of kosher salt or such. Those are deposited salts. NaNO2 is usually a filtered salt. So smaller grains are formed.

How did that person NOT die?? Maybe they either needed 25g due to size or maybe an 8 hour fast is so important that a 7hr fast won't cut it. I can't see other reasons, but if other people can; let me know x

They're either lying or it wasn't SN.

I don't thin they're lying but I do think it was not sn, because they said it didn't have a salty taste.

If you read through it, it appeared that they inadvertently took something that wasn't really SN. Someone sold them a counterfeit or there was an error made when the company did their repackaging. Or some kind of thing like that. I hope that person is okay after attempting twice, failing twice, and getting treated like crap here. The only reason I brought it up was because @wljourney had confused two different forum members. And now I really wish that I hadn't done that.

Looked like epsom salt.
