Hey people, I'm approaching my CTB via SN and have a few questions regarding my procedure.

Foremost, I'll be CTB in my room w/ family sleeping during night time which leaves about 8 hours after ingestion. I understand that it's not recommended, but my particular situation leaves me in this circumstance. My first question is there anyway I can virtually make it so that I don't puke? I'm asking this in reference to Strawberry Panic (May Peace Be Upon Her Soul) video who seemed to have had a somewhat peaceful passing without puking.

Secondly, which position should one be in after ingesting the SN? The PPEH reads, "lay back," but others have mentioned vomiting may occur while unconscious, which could leave you to choke on your puke.

All in all, my objective is to minimize or not to puke at all. May I also add, I'll be fasting 8 hours, Meto, 50ML water, and 25MG SN to mitigate chances of puking. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, yeah sounds like you've really put thought into this, and your prep is solid. Fasting, meto, low water volume, and 25g SN is textbook in terms of giving yourself the best shot at avoiding vomiting. Meto works best if you take it like 30 to 60 minutes before the SN, and sometimes people take two doses spaced a few hours apart just to really lock it in, others take it for a couple of days. If you have access to anything like ondansetron or promethazine, even OTC stuff like dramamine or phenergan, some people stack that with meto and report less nausea but just keep in mind anything sedating could affect your awareness and coordination a bit.

As for position, it's kind of a mixed bag. The pph recommends lying back because being reclined slows down your body's response to the hypoxia which can help things along. But yeah, the risk there is if you do end up vomiting while unconscious, you could aspirate. A lot of people go for a semi reclined or side lying position, kind of like the recovery position, so if you do throw up, it drains instead of going down the wrong way. Something like sitting at a 45° angle or lying on your left side with your head tilted slightly down seems to be a decent middle ground. If you're able to, some people start reclined and then shift to their side once they feel the early signs kicking in i.e. dizziness, vision changes, etc.

Be safe. There is no rush.
