After reading several posts here I don't think you can say that the SN method is gentle and peaceful ... Some people after drinking SN suffered from symptoms like suffocation, loud moaning etc etc it really scares me d '' having read all this :( Apparently other people just threw up and they are asleep
I'd say there's no such thing as a perfectly peaceful way of dying. Our bodies will only fight tooth and nail for our survival, whatever the method. The only perfectly peaceful way to go is to have your brain disintegrated before it can even register a signal, such as with a powerful bomb, but unless it happens by accident out of nowhere, you'll probably live your last moments in agonizing stress/fear. Either way, that death is NOT peaceful is true whether you CTB or die of natural causes.
But there are still ways of dying that are worse than others.
Now, my understanding of SN is that, compared to other poisons which you'll find easily in any supermarket, the main advantage of SN is that drinking it is not painful in and off itself, and that you're supposed to fall unconscious before the shit really hits the fan and your body goes berserk in a desperate try to save you. Supposed being the key word here. But even there, there will be unpleasant feelings before falling unconscious. Particularly strong nausea. Apparently, nausea and vomitting is the real unavoidable side effect of SN. There's just no way around it. If you are highly emetophobic then clearly SN is not for you.
And then there's the risk of not being totally unconscious. That one is a little bit more unclear. We only have a limited amount of testimonies and of the few we have, they're generally 2nd hand (obviously, since dead people don't talk) and the witnesses themselves are not necessarily sure whether what they've witnessed is bouts of consciousness, or unconscious reflexes.
So yeah, it's still a messy situation, but all things considered, you're likely better off taking SN than taking bleach (but worse off than taking N). Still, I doubt there's such a thing as a "peaceful pill", or such a thing as a "peaceful death", even with N. Yet, we'll all end up there one day or another, CTB or not.
