I have a question about sodium nitrite being degraded by light: I left mine (unsealed) out in the kitchen for many weeks. I then realized I should put it in a cupboard (which I did). However, I'm curious, has it been degraded if it was still unsealed?

Received my SN earlier. I can't explain the feeling I had when I opened the package and held that bottle in my hand. It felt empowering and liberating. Immediately, I felt a weight lift off me. It's such a relief to know that I now have an exit if I choose to.

Anyone else get that "light weight" feeling when they realize the exit is readily available at any moment?

It helped me come out of a very dark place indeed. Its hard to explain to someone who has not experienced it. But I get EXACTLY where you are coming from.

This is what "suicide-awareness" activists DON'T understand. By knowing the option is available, I can actually cope better. So in a strange way, suicide actually "saves" me from doing it.

Sorry, I'm in the US and struggling to find SN. I read that authentic SN is banned from Amazon. Should it be a liquid or a salt? What should I be looking for when I'm buying it. I found one on amazon that says Sodium Nitrate Food Frade 99% pure granular.

I'm also in US. I just recently bought (received yesterday) the Loudwolf brand on AMZN and it says 99.6% pure. I'm assuming the authenticity is true, considering the FDA's strict rules on these things. But then-again, you can never be 100% sure of anything from anyone.

SN is very easy to get. I have a chemo patient , so i should get some meta names that i could use with SN. SN itself is the one doing the work , just make sure i wont vomit out = fairly good amount .

As my day gets closer, I get more paranoid. Does anyone know if there is cross-tolerance between SN and alcohol? I'm currently alcohol dependent.

Some people are concerned about vomiting all of the SN drink and failing. They find comfort going through a two day process to prepare them mentally for the event. Fasting is strongly recommended. Some people have medical conditions that mean fasting has a negative effect on them. Sources say that 8 hours is needed. I would suggest individuals know their own metabolism better than a book. If you know that your stomach feels empty after 4 hours, then I suggest you have a 4 hour fast. Try to avoid eating anything large and heavy. Avoid drinking anything two hours prior to drinking the SN. If you need to, then just plain water.

I have acid reducer under prescription, called Dexilant. Would that be good, instead of tegamet?

So I would have less acid inside my stomach when the SN reach it.

If that's good, how much Dexilant should I take? And how much time before ingesting the SN?

I think it should be good
I've read that even exposed to air, it take a good amount of time to become Nitrate. It's the moisture that affect the Nitrite and turns it to Nitrate.

How do you guys get meto in NA? Getting SN and acid reducer is relatively straightforward, but basically every antiemetic requires prescriptions. Is there no readily available OTC solution? If I do want to get this through legal methods like a prescription, how would I go about it? Go to urgent care and talk about nausea?

I was also wondering if anyone has documented or has an idea about weed's effect on the SN method. It is a partial antiemetic, isn't it? Does anyone think that would be enough? Thankfully that's legal here

New here. Been researching for roughly a month after finally deciding that I can't deal with my depression/anxiety after nearly 3 decades. I'm heavily anti-social, so even writing on here has me way out of my zone, but after lurking for awhile, seemed the best place to go to so I wouldn't be judged over my choice.

So far, I have a way of getting hold of SN sometime in the next week or so (payday wait and all). Antiemetics remains an issue, but as I'm not prone to vomiting, unless induced (such as fingers or ipecac, excessive drinking, etc.) Would there be an alternative of some sort? I know it's a highly recommended thing, due to how your body will attempt to reject SN. US based, so can't really snag anything like that without a prescription and don't really use cards for orders, if I can help it. No timeline set for CTB, yet, so I welcome more information. Guess they were right, when they said 'knowing is half the battle' eh?

Hi! I'm new here as well.

Been reading up myself, and apparently there's an alternative where you can use capsules for SN in order to avoid the nausea. But to be careful and use gloves / try not to inhale while doing so. Been using the search bar a lot to read more into that. I've also read to keep SN sealed until the day you decide to go through with it as it can make it less potent, etc. (Take this all with a grain of salt, because I'm new to all of this too. So I apologize for any misinformation.)

And since I am struggling with finding antiemetics, I have found some OTC alternatives which are Dramamine + Meclizine. Dramamine was mentioned in PPH. But Meclizine might be much better as it is a dopamine blocker to some extent. So if I find nothing else, I'll be going down that route. Tagamet + Meclizine + Ibuprofen + Drinking SN.

I also have Gabapentin that I take for pain and anxiety, so I don't know if I could take that or would it interact with the process?

Another thing I'm wondering about is I'm also on Lamictal / Trazodone, would these beneficial in the process?

Just received my metos from the Greek seller. That stuff shipped super fast. Only took 4 days. Cost me around 30 euros. I also got my ibuprofen and zantac. Just waiting for my SN that I got from eBay (polish seller) and then I finally have my busticket. I'm not gonna use it straight away. But it's nice to have for now. Finally I have some more control over my life

Thanks for the extra information on that. Just now ordering my lab grade SN, should have it soon enough. Yes, even with it not being an immediate use item, at least right now, it really is great to have more control over the when. For the first time, in the 27yrs (diagnosed at 7, now 34) I've dealt with my depression and anxiety, I feel.....happy? Relief?(most likely) I don't know, just really feels like a weight lifted, in a sense.

Something no therapy, family or 'friends' have ever been able to make me feel. Not that they ever really tried. Mostly, they only ever noticed I exist if they need money or the holiday's came around and they wanted to bitch about me not buying them stuff, even though I've never gotten a single thing other than grief.

This community, from everything I had been reading prior to joining, is one of the least toxic areas I've seen in some time. Think I'm going to have a toast to everyone, tonight, for just being them.

I agree with others, its not necessary, but since it might induce unconsciousness quicker I kinda like it, esp since I can get it online pretty easy, vs I don't have access to any benzos like everyone else seems to

@Stan hey I cracked of the seal of my sodium nitrite jar a little and quickly taped it, is the nitrite going to go bad or lose its purity

I asked this before but opening it like 3-4x for 5-8 minutes max each time then reselling it is no big deal and it's still 100% good to use?
