Some appear that way. Others logged out to clear history. Some could be faked. Some could have been saved?? We only know a few actual confirmations.

The one that said they didn't feel anything and it was really peaceful was a lot different to the other ones.

That one did seem fake because all the others said they had symptoms like burning throat but this one didn't.

very thirsty is also a symptom .. i felt this was more believable than others. And some do not struggle with horrible issues. The one i was involved in didn't complain of any issues .. mostly sweating and nausea

Ok. It just seemed a bit weird how that one said it was really peaceful but the others had worse symptoms.

Many never described symptoms.., they logged off after drinking so we don't know a lot. There are a few who stated and seemed fairly peaceful.. and a few who seemed very distressed. I'm sure panic when symptoms kick in is a factor. I know panic will be a factor for me..probly worse than the SN .. but I'm not going to post when it's time

Oh ya.. i forgot bcuz i don't think i believe it and if true they didn't prepare.

Although it appears incredible, I don't doubt @Eden2k's account of her failed SN attempt. She used 15 g (the dose initially recommended in the PPH) and did not take antiemetic (initially said to be unnecessary in the PPH). The only plausible explanation is that she vomited much of the SN.

A little more than a month later, her second SN attempt, adding antiemetic, was fatal and is confirmed by obituary. She was well loved IRL and we'll respected on the forum. As she never posted a goodbye thread, it's unlikely that she sought attention with her account of surviving the first.

I think what happened in the last post with Fyyy caused him to not return to the forum. We can't know if he took SN .. maybe that situation changed his mind?

with gratitude to all members who have documented SN attempts... using the list compiled by @neville1 and a couple of other cases, i've created two publicly accessible google documents: SN "successes" and SN failures. both detail members' methods and experiences as extensively as i could from the details provided. i've included most questions from other members and the attempters' answers to them; most applicable in the failed-attempts document.

basically, i thought this might make a useful resource to people looking for (ostensibly) real-life SN-attempt methods and experiences in single documents rather than searching through the forum.

the reason i place quotes around "successes" is that, in most cases, there's no substantial verification of success. i did notice a couple of cases do have verification, but i haven't highlighted those (like the vomiters) yet.

Anyway, last night, I mixed up 25 g (just over 4 teaspoons) into a little less than half a pint of water. I took 500mg of ibuprofen an hour or two before. I tried not to eat as much (I can't really fast, I'm a big baby) so it would absorb faster.

It took me a long time to take the first sip. I just kept being like, wow, this is really happening. I started by just tasting it, like with the tip of my tongue. It was salty but didn't actually seem that bad, not as bad as I thought it'd be. So I took 3 sips total. Barely got ANY SN. It was way way more gross to sip it than taste it. It felt like weirdly thick in my mouth. I realized that there'd be no way I could drink the whole thing, no matter how bad I wanted to go. So! I laid back. I had gotten a garbage can out so I could puke if I needed to. I was in my bed. I tried to close my eyes but my body was Goin Thru Stuff lol.

I just got a Fitbit a few days ago and kept it on for this so I could watch my heart rate. Here's the progression, to the best of my memory. Especially when I realized I probably would live, I wanted to at least observe to share with you"
