SN and OTC sedatives?

I'm gathering materials for an SN attempt. For sedatives, I doubt I'll be able to get any kind of benzos, so I was wondering about using an OTC sedative like ZQuil prior to taking the SN.

I'm concerned I won't pass out very quickly from the SN alone and want to make sure I'm fully unconscious before I experience any symptoms.

Is anything I can get over the counter likely to be strong enough? How long before I take the SN should I take the sedative?

Benzos are the best meds for SN (recommended in the PPH) so it's difficult to know if there is an alternative. Alcohol is forbidden (because of fasting).
Falling uncouscious quickly is my concern too. I hope you'll find peace whatever you decide.
