• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

How long can I leave sodium nitrite exposed to the air before it reduces its effectiveness?
I was planning on keeping it on the table, ready to mix, several hours before drinking.

Thanks. But what if it's unmixed and not tightly covered or sealed?
I want to seperate the correct amount from my SN bottle first, so when I'm ready I can mix it with water immediately.

Or is it safer to mix it with water and seal it in a bottle?
It's safer IMO to mix it in a bottle and tightly seal it and keep the bottle for no more than a week in a dark place.

If you mix the SN in water in an entirely plastic container (the cap should be plastic too), it should be OK for a week.
