For most of human history the name of the game has been the wealthy rule over the poor. Human beings are a resource, they can be and are utilized like tools. The more resources available the easier your life becomes, pleasure is more accessible.

If the wealthy don't treat the conscious resources well enough, those resources rebel. If they rebel, the way of an easier life is gone. The trick they have learned is, keep the herd from rebelling. Bread and circuses to keep them entertained and laws to fear them into compliance.

The pen is mightier than the sword. Words are the "new" sword. If you can control a mind through the use of symbols, their bodies will walk to your tune. They become your resource. There is no need to physically harm someone nowadays, the fear of your comfort and safety being removed is enough to stop your shenanigans.

The only things truly changing are the languages used and the tools that enforce the language. Money is the new whip. The word slave changed to employee. The cage is more comfortable now, but nonetheless 1% of the population rules over 99%.

You know your a slave when you don't control access to food, water, housing, and other basic necessities. If you control someone's ability to live, you are their master.

The capitalists that privately own the fresh water sources, food producers/distributors, and your housing are your masters. They get to decide if you live or die. They can use this power to extort you and make you do things you wouldn't do otherwise. You are a capitalist slave.

What makes capitalism work is, if you're an able bodied young person, if you refuse to work you suffer a fair amount of agony. And it's because of that agony that this whole economic system works.

The working class has no choice but to sell ourselves to capitalists for wages. This is not a "consensual transaction." It is coercion, set up through centuries of violence that privatized all land, commodified basic human needs &
transformed us into cattle for a "labor market."

I agree. Slavery never ended, it just became less severe and manifested into modern life. However, what's different about this type of slavery is that many people are convinced that they aren't slaves at all but rather that they made the choice to work. Many people think that they are free when they clearly aren't. It's bizarre at how many people are simply okay with this. Only the 1% are truly living life, the rest are merely surviving

I'm not sure I agree.

Comparing today with the brutal centuries of forced slavery being dragged from home, put on a boat and branded and whipped is not the same.

Yes we all have to work or face consequences. But if no one wanted to work together nothing would ever get done and everyone would starve and suffer.

1% clearly do control the planet but without the rest of us, they would have no luxurious life at all.

People who chose not to engage in the system still get things like benefits and free health care and somewhere to live, just not to a high standard. I'm not sure we could just let everyone in society have free reign over everything and have things still functioning.

They show you slaves in metal chains so you can't perceive your mental ones.
The prison has been made invisible, now everyone thinks they are free.
The best slave is the slave who believes he is free.

cities began to settle and grow near 10000 BC, with the rise of agriculture and animal husbandry.

So for like almost 300000 years nomadic tribes lived without differences between their members other than knowledge. Which often meant power to the elders and chiefs arose. But that didn't mean they controlled the other members of the tribe. They just knew more about the environment and were more revered. Kinda like elephant matriarchs.

If we just got rid of money and rules I'm not so sure society would function for long.

Man, while you are working, studying and stuff, ppl with big machetes or rifles, rob you either on the streets or with their awful music and clothing brands, helped by the ones who control all the technology behind the brainwashing: media, YT, IG, FB etc...
IMO it is the same as before, but it is just a more sophisticated way of implementing slavery.
If you don't find the right ppl to entertain yourself with and who do not get brainwashed by society/evilness/narcissism or you don't have really strong passions and sufficient strength/wealth to pursue these passions all life long, you will just suffer and rot in hell.

Along with all the the mentioned things(as if it wasn't enough),in socially backward third world countries, people are slaves to community and tradition.Women are turned into slaves for men and its dubbed as "tradition".Corruption.Poverty.Tradition.Community.Chaos.There is no hope down south.

The morons will stay dumb forever with thierr lack of expansive and critical thinking and try to drag down the ones who are actually intellectual enough to figure out this mess.Pure NPC behavior.Every clown in this stupid world wants approval from the other clown.

To be fair, even in developed countries there are still a subset of men who want women to be their slaves under the guise of "tradition". Hence the whole "weaponized incompetence" fiasco and passport bro situation going on right now.
