Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Many people don't realize they are being abused by their siblings because of the common nature of sibling rivalry. Sibling rivalry is normal, but there are things that surpass sibling rivalry. Taking advantage of power imbalances by repeatedly psychologically, physically, and sexually hurting someone crosses that line.

I have a sibling who used to hang out with my bullies at school and repeat the crude nicknames they made of me. My sibling spread a rumor around in elementary about me failing a grade and being held back, which was not remotely true and my sibling knew that.

I shared my interests and they were considered childish. I would try doing my own hair and be called ugly. I would try to lightly joke around in conversations and be shut down as unfunny and annoying. When my self-harm begun, I was considered an attention seeker and that they had it way worse than me.

There were many moments when the play fights became one sided. Sitting on the bed and suddenly being hit repeatedly by a hanger. Abruptly being strangled against the bed. Getting elbowed down on my stomach to the point of soiling myself. Even when I cry and tell them to stop, they belittle me for being overly sensitive.

The time when they pinned me down against the bed and sexually assaulted me even when I was clearly in distress, screaming help until my lungs were worn out.

The constant invalidating when I did try to talk about bullying by my peers made me take a step back and avoid them. My family would see this and consider me the unaffectionate one because nobody seen what happened behind closed doors. Due to my avoidance, my family labelled me as a bully. I never spoke up about my issues, because they already made up their minds and I still had this mindset of protecting my sibling, after all it would be just a bunch of 'he said, she said.'

My other sibling had toxic traits as well, and they were old enough to know better than to beat their younger sibling when they got angry at them. I would be forced to give them my tablet when they got their phone taken away, hence I would be punished along with them.
My other sibling was clout hungry, so I had to learn how to take photos, videos, and back then the trendy dances were popular so I had to learn how to do them. This would last for hours after school and I was told to do it when I expressed that I didn't want to. It was the equivalent of those family vloggers who post their kids all the time and don't have actual special moments with them because it's all for the camera.
My other sibling would talk about their highschool drama. I was the person that would share their emotional burden for hours after school, despite not even being in the double digits of age.

My other sibling doesn't live with me anymore, the first sibling referenced still does. Neither of them aren't and weren't monsters. The first sibling has changed and is mostly respectful toward me, having apologized for what they done to me and admitting they weren't nice in front of our family too. We have the normal sibling relationship now, however it could never be a deep relationship after what happened. Remnants of their damage has shaped me. I can forgive some things after taking account their perspectives, but I don't excuse any of it.
