Alright , so whats the difference between the normal CO mega thread and this? Well this post was made to gather everything you need in one place , to avoid scrolling for hours to gather everything you need. You will not be needing expensive resources for this method and it will provide similar results to the traditional CO method.
This is my personal method of CO , orignally i was going to make a guide using blankets and / or other similar objects but that had too many risks of fire and other hazards , So this is a much safer and more effective method.

This thread uses photonic alphabet to label its contents , If you want to skip straight to the tools , steps and necessary calculations without any of the science behind the method please skip to ECHO , FOXTROT AND GOLF

A brief explanation of Carbon Monoxide
:-

Carbon monoxide (CO) is produced whenever carbon-based fuels burn without enough oxygen. It's basically a sign of incomplete combustion.

Here are the main ways CO is produced:
● 1. Incomplete burning of fuels

Any fuel containing carbon can make CO if there isn't enough oxygen:

•Wood
•Coal
•Charcoal
•Petrol
•Diesel
•LPG (rare but possible)
•Natural gas
•Kerosene

Example:
If you burn charcoal in a closed room, the fire doesn't get enough air → instead of forming CO₂, it produces CO.

● 2. Vehicle exhaust

Car and bike engines burn fuel rapidly, and the combustion is not perfectly complete → CO is released in the exhaust. ( Not applicable in vehicles manufacturerd after 1975 > USA <

Do not try this method as this is highly outdated and has variable results , it will NOT work in new vehicles , however you can do the burning of coal within vechiles ie. Traditional method)

● 3. Household appliances

Malfunctioning or unvented appliances can create CO:

•Gas stoves
•Gas geysers
•Heaters
•Furnaces

( similar to the vehicle method , this is only gor informational purpose do not try to CTB using this method )

■ CHARLIE-
Why is CO dangerous? How does it work?

Carbon monoxide (CO) is dangerous because it silently replaces the oxygen in your blood, causing your organs—especially your brain and heart—to suffocate without you realizing it.

CO binds to hemoglobin 240× more strongly than oxygen . Your red blood cells normally carry oxygen using a protein called hemoglobin. CO binds to hemoglobin way tighter than oxygen does → forming carboxyhemoglobin (COHb).

Once CO sticks, oxygen cannot bind.
You inhale CO → your blood stops carrying oxygen → your organs get starved.

In short CO causes hypoxia starving your organs of oxygen leading to death

A CO death is almost painless , it does not cause the feeling of "suffocation" because when you breathe CO your lungs still release carbondioxide (CO²) which causes the "suffocation" feeling . However CO might have the following symptoms if you dont perform the method properly ( fail the method )

These appear at low levels (around 10–20% COHb): you will be conscious

•Headache (most common)
•Dizziness
•Weakness or feeling tired
•Nausea or vomiting
•Blurry vision
•Shortness of breath
•Confusion or difficulty concentrating
•Chest tightness

Levels around 20–40% COHb: you will be weak but still conscious

•Strong headache
•Rapid heartbeat
•Feeling faint
•Difficulty thinking clearly
•Bright red (cherry-colored) lips or skin (rare, •only in severe cases)
•Bad coordination
•Irritability or unusual behavior

Levels around 40–60% COHb: you are most likely to be unconscious

•Severe confusion
•Collapse / fainting
•Seizures
•Loss of consciousness
•Chest pain (especially if heart problems)
•Coma
•Death (usually above ~50–60% COHb)

■ DELTA-
Why is it better than SN / other methods of the same kind? ( in my personal opinion )
:

I personally think CO is one of the best methods because first , buying the resources for it does not raise suspicion if you buy it online or offline . Second , the resources required for the method are VERY EAISLY compared to methods such as SN or H , SN is very hard to find online and its purity has to be tested , other than that SN gets taken by customs if shipped internationally as it raises suspicions because of its chemical property , other than that you might throw up and its really hard to ingest the SN due to its strong taste (my personal opinion of this method ; not to downgrading it ) , in H , the gas is really really hard to obtain due to its low availability and it is very expensive for the necessary amounts required . Third , the resources required are not expensive and it comparatively takes lesser set up compared to complex methods.

ECHO-
The tools // resources required:

Now that we know all the Why's and What's
Lets have a look at what resources you will be needing for this method:

NECESSARY :-

•Fuel to release CO : Charcoal/Coal majorly used. They are very cheap in most countries and do NOT arouse suspicion if bought at seperate stores. ( usually around 30$ USD for a bag of charcoal/coal depending on your country )

( if you are using a different fuel then these , PLEASE make sure they release CO before applying them to the method )

•A metal / non flammable stand / grill : a grill made out of non flammable material is ABSOLUTELY necessary as we will need to
Put the fuel on a proper stand so that the fuel does not cause any fires or damages.
A metal bucket can be used too ( usually within 30 USD depending on your country they are cheap but however will fullfil your requirements )

• A PPM ( particals per million ) meter : used to measure the density of air for measuring CO ( usually around 20 to 50$ USD Depending on your country for a good quality ppm meter )

( please make sure you get a good quality PPM meter as its is absolutely crucial for a sucessful attempt without surviving with brain damage ie failure of attempt )

A fire starter : to ignite your fuel source , they are very cheap and easy to find and are necessary if you cant light up your fuel source using traditional methods
( usually around 10 to 30$ USD once again highly depending on your country )

•Sealers such as tapes : to seal cracks and gaps in the space you are going to be performing the method in to avoid / prevent the escape of CO and a loss in concentration of CO ( very cheap;everywhere )

FOXTROT-
The method // how and what do i do?:

STEP 1 - Select a proper time when you will be alone in your area of choice make sure you choose a small and enclosed space without much windows ( ***THIS IS ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL FOR THE METHOD TO WORK*** )

STEP 2- Close / seal the remaining gaps in the room / vechile and check for any leaks

STEP 3- Gather your fuel source, if you are using coal , start burning it with blow torch or fire starters until they are **red** and glowing ; after that they are ready to be used

STEP 4- place the pieces coal carefully on your grill or your stand of choice and then place the stand inside of the enclosed room or space , After that get out of the room / vechile.

STEP 5- Let the gas accumulate , use your ppm meter to measure the ppm level every once in a while , REQUIRED PPM LEVEL :
●1,600 ppm60–Death in 1 hour.
●3,200 ppm—Death in 30 minutes.
●6,400 ppm—Death in 10–15 minutes.
●12,800 ppm—Death within 1–3 minutes.

STEP 6- Once you have reached the required PPM enter the room/vechile and close the doors and windows. You can also take sedatives to fall asleep inside
Please make sure to close the door as quickly as possible once you enter the room

IF YOU ARE USING A VECHILE TURN ON INNER CIRCULATION SO AS TO PREVNT THE FAILURE OF THE ATTEMPT AND MAINTAIN THE CO PPM LEVEL

For sedative users :
These are some non prescription medicines commonly availabe to help fall asleep

Magnesium Glycinate/Threonate
Diphenhydramine
Doxylamine Succinate

When to ingest?
1 to 2 hours before attempt:
→ Magnesium Glycinate 400 mg (with dinner)
→ Melatonin 3 mg + L-Theanine 200 mg (1 hour before bed)
→ Optional: Tagara or Zandusleep tablet

GOLF-
Ending remarks , precautions and calculations : (necessary)

To calculate the amount of coal/fuel required you need to find the dimensions on the room you are going to be using , other than that there are several other factors that affect your CO PPM

For this guide we will be using a 10³ meter room ( 10×10×10 meters ) and our required PPM will be 12,400
Now , first close all the gaps and follow the crucial steps. Now you are left with the following:

CO Yield (g CO / g coal)Coal Needed (g)Coal Needed (kg)

0.02 (clean burn)~7250 g~7.25 kg
0.05 (moderate burn)~2900 g~2.9 kg
0.10 (incomplete burn)~1450 g~1.45 kg
0.20 (very incomplete)~725 g~0.725 kg

We are focusing for a very incomplete to incomplete burn in this case. To get this incomplete burn we need to restrict the oxygen supply to the fuel source. This isn't very hard to do as you just need to close the gaps and seal them properly. Now depending on your room's dimensions you will need aprox- 1.25 kg for a 10³ meter room

If you are using a vechile 1600 grams will do for a Compact SUV change the amount required for smaller/larger vechiles

Major precautions :

->Get the required amount of fuel , which depends on your room / space
->Seal all the gaps and cracks that have a major effect on the CO PPM concentration
->Test the PPM concentration before attempting to CTB
-> Do not use low quality materials ; A good quality fuel and PPM meter are absolutely essential , you can cheap out on the fire starters or grills but not on these
-> If you want to be absolutely sure that no one will rescue you , pick an odd time.

Ending remarks :

This method is my personal go to for CTB , It was made with the help of external resources. This is NOT yet properly finished and edits WILL be made until Novermber 30th 2025 . If you want to make suggestions to edit things in the thread please suggest below and the necessary changes will be made , In the end i would like to mention the greatest things i have seen or heard in my life , I will not be attempting until Novermber 30 ; if things get better...but i dont think they will , I really do not want to exist , nevertheless i want these things to be here as a personal memorial even if i CTB or stay alive.

Imo better to do multiple charcoal grils

For example 3 small grills with at least 2kg each in a room. . Small grills in a car or van

Redundancy and more co produced

I would like to use a table and seal it with tape and thick sheets, and use about 2kg of charcoal for when I'm underneath the table. Perhaps I'll use more charcoal since I don't have anything to measure carbon monoxide levels, so I need to at least be sure it will be lethal.

What do you guys think of a grow tent? It's much thicker than a camping tent. Seems like it could work perfectly. If I tip it on its side it's 6.5 feet and I could lie down.

But what if our body just kicks the grill while being half unconscious? Tent will catch fire and i definitely do not want that deathly afraid of fire
Also @lunar02102009 are you from India? Can you recommend a co meter

Honestly, I don't know if it's possible in this case; most sources say that above a certain level of CO in the air, loss of consciousness is rapid. I once tried this method in the bathroom, but it didn't work. I used 1,5kg of charcoal, but the space was large, about 11m³. I believe that for that size I should have used significantly more charcoal, something around 6 kg, So, on my next attempt, I'll use a smaller space, seal it well, and use a relatively large amount for the size of the area, something around 2 kg. I'll wait about 20 minutes for the CO levels to become lethal, and when I get in there, it won't be long before I lose consciousness.

The tent idea seems interesting; I'll get one that's 1.89m³, so the amount of charcoal needed isn't that high for that volume. I believe that 1.5kg of charcoal would already make the environment fatal; I've seen cases where a couple died in their sleep with about 800g of it.

Have you ever had a charcoal barbecue? There's only smoke in the beginning. Once the charcoal starts glowing there's not a lot of smoke. Breathing in CO shouldn't be a problem. People die all the time of CO poisoning since they don't even realize they're breathing it in. Just this week I heard on the news of a family that had a barbecue inside suffered from CO poisoning. They nearly won a Darwin Award, but they survived.

I'm more concerned about the nausea and headaches when the ppm level is still low.

Thanks for the details. The megathread was hard to follow really.
I'm considering this method. I have a small green house and a car as options. The tent I already have has far too much ventilation. I'd much prefer to just fall asleep and never wake up. It's ideal.

The greenhouse may need some sealing - I might put a cozy mattress inside for me to nap on. There is a hatch in the roof and a door I'd have to tape shut but it's otherwise fairly sealed up.
Gardening was one of my favorite things and I was gifted this greenhouse the mother's day before the surgery that ruined me so I never really got to use it.. guess I can use it one final time.
It's about 6ft tall, and I can't take barely reach my arms fully without touching the sides. I'd have a nice view of the sky also.

It's also chilly out so any heat produced would feel relaxing. I can take some of my meds to sleep.

Guess I should get a meter and test the theory to see how air tight it really is and how long it takes to fill up.

My only question is - why wait til it's filled to enter? Can't you just sit there and let it build while you're inside? That's usually how it happens on accident after all - slow and steady …put the baby to sleep forever lol

A family friend of ours lost half their family because of a summer power outage and a generator placed outside but too close to an open window. They went to bed and never got up. Back when I was a kid this seemed like a very nice way to go. I was suicidal at a young age, clearly.

Ok not my only question - the CO meters in seeing only go up to 1,000 soooo do I have to order a $500 one?

I wouldn't. Problem doing it like this is you're going to "pass through" all of the lower concentrations of CO while it's building up in the space to the (hopefully) highest level (near 13000 ppm or more), and, therefore, be subject to all of the "nasty" unwanted side effects and symptoms that occur with the lower levels. IMO, it's FAR better to enter the space with an already known HIGH level (13000 ppm +), take a couple breaths, pass out, and then let death occur within a couple minutes afterwards WHILE ALREADY UNCONSCIOUS, that way you don't feel the (uncomfortable) effects of the CO.

I'm sorry but this math is a bit weird to me. I'm not a chemist but a physicist, so I hope I'm not forgetting something.
Everything assumed at sea level pressure and 20 °C temperature, as usual:

V(air) = 10³ m³ = 1000 m³

Volume percentage of oxygen molecule in air is 20,09%, so

V(O2) = 20,09% * V(air) = 201 m³

Density of oxygen molecule in above conditions is about d(O2) = 1,4 kg/m³ so

m(O2) = d(O2) * V(O2) = 1,43 kg/m³ * 201 m³ = 288 kg = 288'000 g

Molar mass of oxygen molecule is mmol(O2) = 32 g/mol, so number of moles of oxygen in the air is

n(O2) = m(O2) / mmol(O2) = 288'000 g / 32 g/mol = 9'000 mol

To get the same number of moles of carbon n(C) = 9'000 mol, knowing that molar mass of carbon is mmol(C) = 12,01 g/mol, we would need how many kilos of carbon?

m(C) = n(C) * mmol(C) = 9'000 mol * 12,01 g/mol = 108 kg

Now, it's probable that I'm missing something, but a factor 100 between the two results doesn't seem right. Intuitively, a 10 m³ room is BIG. 10 m of height are like three floors and 100 m^2 is like a full flat apartment surface. Can 1 kg of coal exhaust all the air inside? I don't think so.
Also, a part of the combustion produces CO2 when air isn't already deprived of oxygen, right? So not full coal is producing CO, not mentioning internal composition of coal itself.

Could you be clearer? Sorry if I did some incorrect assumption or reasoning.

IMO, it's FAR better to enter the space with an already known HIGH level (13000 ppm +), take a couple breaths, pass out, and then let death occur within a couple minutes afterwards WHILE ALREADY UNCONSCIOUS, that way you don't feel the (uncomfortable) effects of the CO.
omg you girl! I freaking missed you so much! I really thought that you were gone. It felt so lonely browsing the forum without seeing without your Trump signature. So happy to see you again. ;-;

I would like to know this to if this will work, but im afraif if there is any chance if self preservation to kick in and my body try to save itself while me being half unconscious

But what if our body just kicks the grill while being half unconscious? Tent will catch fire and i definitely do not want that deathly afraid of fire
Also @lunar02102009 are you from India? Can you recommend a co meter
yeah i have too searched for these co meter but the most meters limit are 500ppm or 1000ppm?
i have come across only a single one with 1999ppm .
dont know where to source the ones that can measure 12400ppm.

INTRODUCTION :

"The beginning is the end and the end is the beginning"

I wish i would get this said by someone to me , maybe not in my dreams but in reality

"You and I are perfect for each other, never believe anything else"

I love the show you've quoted from. I dreamed to find the Jonas to my Martha too. Perhaps, on the other side.

This seems very interesting. How much pounds of charcoal would one need for a car like a Toyota camary for example? Is it fine if the car is fully off?
