Hi all👋

Hope you are doing well!

Welcome to another thread by me.

This thread is focused on talking about two failed CO attempts from 2019/2023 so that you all get to know, what not to try.

Knowing what to do is definitely good but it's also important to know what not to do.

So here it goes:
In 2019, I didn't know about SaSu, I googled and found that a lot of people in India die due to CO accidentally.
I tried to look for methods to generate CO.
I saw formic acid+sulphuric acid.
That method needs a lot of care as this reaction is not stable and doesn't produce sufficient CO.
I read that by burning wood, fuel, charcoal in absence of air will produce Carbon monoxide.
I was at it.
I thought what can I procure. Wood or fuel or charcoal.
I didn't have access to wood.
I could not find a source to buy pure charcoal, although i could have tried and have found it.
It was easy for me to obtain Kerosene oil.
I went to the market, purchased 2l kerosene oil.
In my head, i was happy and excited that finally i can go.

I took a metalic container, and filled it with 500ml kerosene oil.
Now it was time to ignite it. I took a matchstick and tried to light it up, it didn't work. I tried another one, again it didn't work.
I took a piece of paper and used the matchstick to put it on fire. The moment i placed this paper into kerosene, the flames started. I quickly placed that in my small bathroom so it can create CO and I can inhale that and go.

To my horror, the flames started producing black smoke and black soot.

The flame was soon out of control. The flames started moving wildly. My curtain almost caught fire. It was my good luck that the flame didn't reach far enough.
Soon my entire room was filled with this smoke and it was completely dark.
I couldn't see anything in the room even with a torch. I could only see fire and the smoke moving out of my room.
I realised it's gone out of hands. I used my head quickly, i realised that water will not be able to extinguish this fire. There were flower pots down stairs, i started bringing soil from that pot and in 2-3 iterations, the fire got extinguished.
The next challenge was the black smoke. It was moving out of the room..luckily no one was there at that time to see what happened.. There was no way to get rid of that black smoke.
I sat in that black smoke for an hour assuming that the CO in the air would help me ctb.
Nothing happened. My lungs got filled with black soot.
The smoke got dissipated after few hours.
Everything in the room turned black, the walls, the ceilings, the objects, me, my clothes, everything.

In 2023, my desperation made me use camphor for the same CO method. Google said it'll work to create CO. So i tried it.
I had enough camphor with me to create sufficient CO.
I burnt it.
It created the same effect. The bathroom was filled with black smoke and nothing was visible. I quickly used soil to extinguish the fire. I managed to get rid of the smoke. But the whole bathroom turned black.

Another failed attempt 😐

So, guys, Google and AI can be very misleading.. don't believe everything you read.

Do your independent research.. may be talk to people who have done it or know better chemistry.

These articles out there are useless.

Plan well after educating yourself and only when you are 110% sure, then only go for it..
Otherwise, you can end up in situations like these.

I have shared a picture of the ceiling of my bathroom that turned black due to black soot.

So, never try anything desperately

Impulse can lead to worse conditions

Plan well

CTB peacefully

Take care guys!

See you in another thread

Cheers 🥂

That's really true..
One needs proper knowledge of chemistry and proper calculation along with the right apparatus or material to achieve success.
