Room Temperature For Slower Decomposition

Like the title says, I'm wondering what's the best temperature range to prevent decomposing too quickly. My fur baby will be in the house probably for a couple days while I'm hopefully deceased in my locked bedroom (he can open the door), with towels to block the opening at the bottom of the double doors.

He has automatic feeder and two water fountains made for pets. He's very used to both. I don't want him to be uncomfortably cold, but I don't want the smell to be putrid, if possible. TIA.

The morgue at the hospital my company does work for keeps their cooler at 34 degrees Fahrenheit.

That's to prevent any decomposition. It's too cold for the cat. I'm just trying to slow it.

If your plan involves doing this at home, the only real choice you have is to run the air conditioning on full power.

If there was, he'd be there. It's what's been keeping me alive, but my suffering has become too unbearable. Luckily, my friend will take him and keep him as long as necessary until a good home for him is found. My friend loves him almost as much as I do. They would've love to have him, but their cat became aggressive to mine after living in harmony together for 2 years.

I don't associate with anyone else, and I can hardly function anymore. I've considered going to a 5-star hotel, but I feel like too many things can happen there: a fire alarm, someone hearing something. I don't know.

Everything about this is so awful, but the thought of continuing like this indefinitely as my health continues to decline is horrifying to me.
