Several months ago, a relative of mine who also has mental health issues recommended a website to me called "Reasons to Stay". When you open the site, a random letter loads that is written by an anonymous person who gives you reasons why you might want to consider staying alive, rather than committing suicide. I've read a ton of these letters, and often find them moving - especially when read with a fresh mind in the morning. All the letters are kind and gentle. There are a lot of letters that pump hope, saying that life will get better, which is not the case for a lot of us - meaning some circumstances won't get better. However, the letters are written for everyone, so I don't expect all of the letters to resonate with me.
This website is set up and run by Ben West, who, at the age of 17, lost his 15-year-old brother Sam to suicide.
In case you're interested, here is the site, followed by an article telling the story behind the site. I hope you find this helpful in some way.
