Hello!
A question for any knot experts out there. ive been watching and practising Jesibel videos (thank you). Ive got my Arbor knot with stopper sorted.
But I wanted to ask a question about knots to anchor point - this is where im going to sound incredibly stupid. so, I cant get on with the bowline, just not for me. My anchor point is vertical, then rope will sit horizontal for a foot or two before dropping from the loft hatch. I perfer the snuggle hitch knot, although not the easiest on a vertical pole. But here's where my stupid question comes in......if I tie like say 3 standard double knots in a row with a stopper and pull on it with all my weight it feels totally secure and doesnt move, knots all stay in place and feels safe. Actually feels more secure than some of the knots ive tried. But clearly there must be a reason why people are not tieing lots of double knots (with stoppers) around anchor points or people would be doing it....
Can anyone please tell me logic behind the other knots and not doing lots of double knots, as im clearly missing something (my brain cells obviously from practicing too many knots).
Sorry ive probably made myself sound so stupid and the reason will be obvious....just need someone to point it out....
Any knowledge would be much appreciated!
