I came across a website that sells sn for bait scents. It says it is technical grade and 99% pure sodium nitrite for curing salmon eggs. It has a pinkish color in the picture. Would this still work??

As long as it's 95% pure or above, it will work. None of the other marketing, grade, whatever other terms matter. If it's SN and 95%+, it will work.

Im guessing PC brand ? I bought some of that too. But I was warned against it. It tested fine, but those test strips arent perfect and...

I don't believe we have any reports of success with the P-C/PC brand SN, but there are accounts of people experiencing failures and concerns about it being nitrate instead. Most of us are already familiar with this brand, as it has been mentioned here a good amount. However, for anyone who's considering this rand, I recommend exercising caution and keeping these points in mind. If this product had any updated user feedback, such as reliable testing results or confirmed successful uses, it would be worth considering. However, it currently seems unreliable and risky.

I don't recall any successes with PC SN, but if you know of any, please share them. It's possible that there were just some bad batches at the time of the concerns (although the timeline of the concerns spans quite the timeline so goes against it being just a bad batch) about this brand. Nonetheless, the overall clear consensus here appears to be that this brand is generally viewed as a risk and not trustworthy.

Idk. But I did get some from dmc and it doesnt have any pink. Just clumpy yellow tinted. The PC brand I bought didnt have any pink either

Doesn't pink mean it's mixed with plain salt sodium chlorine?
NaCl is white, if it's pink i means it has impurites SN and NaCl are both white odorless substances.

If its pink it means there are other impurities in it.

Most likely curing salt which probably has 6.25% SN and the rest is I think regular salt not sure what they mix it with. So no it'll just make you really sick. & I've seen on here that PC is not good might be the same case or it's mostly nitrate.
