Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Because of my circumstances, I have few cbt options available to me. Of those that seem even remotely possible, one appears easier for me to accept than the others, hanging. Even so, there are several obstacles I would need to overcome before I could commit to such a course of action.

One of the most significant concerns is my neck. Sixteen years ago, I underwent surgery to have a deep brain stimulation (DBS) system implanted. The device consists of electrodes placed within the brain and a battery pack implanted beneath the skin of my upper chest. A wire runs from the battery pack, across my shoulder, and up the side of my neck before connecting to the electrodes.

When I press against the right side of my neck, I can still feel the wire beneath the skin. It is not especially prominent, but it is unmistakably there. I cannot help wondering whether its presence might complicate matters. The question lingers in my mind, another uncertainty added to an already difficult decision.

I would like to hear the thoughts of people familiar with hanging regarding the challenges the wire might present and the extent to which it could affect the outcome. I'd also like to hear solutions or work arounds if there is a challenge to overcome due to the wire. Thanks for any help in advance.
