I have paid for my burial plot and created a detailed document outlining my finances, what to do with my body, type of funeral, account numbers and steps to either cancel things or switch them into someone else's name. I dont have life insurance but I do have my investments setup with a beneficiary who will ultimately be the person dealing with whatever happens.

I should have a few notes for key people and I'll get to that.

What else should a person do to make the process smooth for other people? I've considered not doing it at home but that would be kind of a hide and seek on its own. Is there a more gentle way to be discovered?

This is bound to inconvenience someone and I want to minimize that.

The difficulty factor is disappointing

Same. Have life insurance, two dogs and two vehicles. I need to leave a message for a certain person to know what to do with these things.

There is no easy way to find a corpse, much less a corpse of someone you love. Whoever finds your body whether that be a child, first-responders, a parent, and so on, will all be traumatised. You can try minimise that by trying methods which leave less of a scene/mess, but it's simply one of the consequences you must be aware of. I suppose poison would be the gentlest way to see a body.

Getting some distance from the ones you think will suffer the most - honestly, you never know - as they start to familiarize with your absence.

About your finances, if you want to share some money with someone, you can schedule a bank transfer for a date after your death - and send a message, indeed, if you do so by an app ^.^

SN is the plan so that's a plus. Doing it elsewhere for someone else to find me seems inconvenient and as I was thinking it turns into hide and seek because who knows when I'm determined missing and when I'm found. I don't like either scenario, but I'll have to figure it out.
