I've uploaded a copy of the March 2020 Edition of the PPeH:

Please don't reply to this thread, PM me instead, so keeping this thread uncluttered.

Credit goes to Yomyom for the original upload (thankyou) - unfortunately a number of users were unable to view that variant.

This variant was created with Adobe Acrobat Pro so those unable to view Yomyom's upload should be able to view this one.

I've verified the upload works, so if you are having issues, then the issue is likely to be at your end.

I looked into OCRing this edition, i.e. creating a text searchable variant. However, the results were mixed despite using the market leader.

NB: As with all uploads you should treat any email or website address with skepticism - scammers post altered documents containing their own contact details. One tactic they use is to post a link an un-adulterated document, wait til their document gets a "good" reputation, then at a later date, alter the document to contain a false address. While I have checked the email address for A, you should by default verify the address, or any other address, in any document, yourself. Comparing addresses with *multiple* older editions of the PPeH is good start. The change in address is usually very subtle, i.e. just one letter, therefore hard to spot - so take your time.

Be very very careful of using random links on the Internet.

I would RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE USE THIS LINK AS IT MAY BE ALTERED FROM TIME TO TIME.

Scammers are very creative and deceiving, I've lost way too much money to scammers recently
Rather buy the book yourself to make sure you have the legitimate email address for A, that's what I did.

@marriedindeed

Could you please reupload to either anonfile or gofile.io then post the new links....

Those will be "read only" uploads, which will be much more secure and "scam-proof".

I explain the document security issues in the following thread :
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/pph-dec-2019.30370/

We should be discouraging people to download from read/write URLs, such as mega.nz
We should also discourage anywhere where the URLs can be changed, such as the wiki.

I've uploaded another copy of the March 2020 Edition of the PPeH to gofile.io:

The mega.nz upload is still available:

Thanks again to Yomyom for the original rip!

I've verified both uploads work, so if you are having issues, then the issue is likely to be at your end.

NB: As with all uploads you should treat any email or website address with skepticism - scammers post altered documents containing their own contact details. One tactic they use is to post a link an un-adulterated document, wait til their document gets a "good" reputation, then at a later date, alter the document to contain a false address. @jgm63, I don't believe gofile.io is the silver bullet you seek. gofile.io's retention policy isn't very long:
"After 10 days of inactivity, an upload can be deleted to free up space on the servers. An upload is considered inactive if it is not regularly downloaded".

Where as mega's retention policy is 3+ months since the date the user last logged into their account.

Regarding the "read only" nature of gofile.io - gofile.io has an "edit feature" which "will be available soon" (I've PMed the screenshot). The precise functionality of this "edit" feature, for the moment, is unclear.

As for anonfile - to say their service is flaky would be an understatement. anonfile links create confusion within the forum as to whether a download is still available, or whether its just their poor ropy service.

We did discuss some of these issues back in January 2020:
@jgm63, this issue is not whether having a copy of the PPeH in PDF is good or bad, the issue is the number variants of each edition of the PPeH which are uploaded. Keeping track of each variant (whatever format), verifying its contents on initial upload, and keep verifying its contents at later dates, is the issue. An example is notjustyetagain's recent variant of the March 2019 PPeH. notjustyetagain created a nice text searchable document, i.e. they added value. Unfortunately, notjustyetagain unwittingly used a tainted variant as their source document.

One tactic the scammers use it to post a link an un-adulterated document, wait till their document gets a "good" reputation, then alter the document (not the link) to contain a false address(es). I saw this happen with an image from the August 2019 PPeH which showed the email address for B. Initially the image showed the correct address, but was then altered at a later date. Members continued to re-post the link unaware the document had be altered.

Unfortunately we can't rely upon the moderators to be vigilant on this particular issue – recently a link to a tainted copy of the March 2019 edition ended up in the Resources section. Initially the link was to HelensNepenthe's original images upload, but was later replaced with a link to a tainted PDF. I PMed the moderators about this, and their action to remove the link was swift.

However, one of the moderators expressed "frustration" of having to monitor all the various postings etc. relating to the PPeH, N, with regards to scamming. If I were to read between the lines: the impression I got was the moderator felt they were here to monitor the discussion of suicide, ensure no member was coerced into self-harm/suicide etc, not to mention the usually downside to social media, e.g. bullying etc. It would seem that preventing scamming is taking up a lot of their time – so another variant of the PPeH will just increase their workload. I repeat: this was the impression I got.

While your caveat is good, we can't make scammers postings include it, by which time the damage is already done. The impression I get is new members are "green": they expect all members to have their best interests at heart, and the last thing their expect is to be scammed, i.e. they didn't read the forum's introductory Rules and FAQ thread, despite the moderator's Welcome PM advising them to do so - hell I didn't read the FAQ until about a month after I joined!

As per my original post: please PM me if you wish to discuss this further...

The main point is that we need "read only" URLs.
If gofile.io is introducing an edit facility, then it may no longer be useful.

To me, anonfile seems to work fairly well, although perhaps less so on mobile.

If I get time at some point, I may look at other alternatives.

mega.nz is a no-go in my opinion, since it allows the scams we have already discussed.
The wiki is also a no-go, since the URLs can be changed at any time.....

Thanks for uploading.

I'd encourage people to virus-scan downloaded files including PDFs. FWIW, I've just scanned the March 2020 PPeH posted to Gofile above using https://jotti.org and none of their virus scanners report any issue (but don't take my word for it - check yourself)

The Mega download is now gone.

The Gofile one is still working however.
