Police visit for buying Canada SN (UK)

Literally at 4am police came knocking on my door asking for Sakura and telling me she's going to kill herself. They didn't realise I was Sakura, they thought I was her friend lol.

It was so dramatic "Sakura is about to hurt herself blah blah" , it was such a bizarre thing that I started thinking that these police were some random men were trying to kidnap me. Eventually I admitted that I am Sakura and I told them I threw away my sn and they left.

I haven't been able to sleep all night, it felt like I was being swatted. I'm so alarmed from the situation.

Oddly these police were so misinformed , I literally bought SN like two years ago and they thought I bought it recently and they thought I was right about to ctb.

Has anyone else got police visits about this? Was it so dramatic like mine? I think this method and timing of asking me for sn done more harm than good.

Edit: they referred to my SN as a "suicide kit". Also apparently they are going to forward my information to Canada and Canada might contact me. The information is my full name, address, date of birth and phone number.

But it seems every person within a number of different western countries who have ordered from KL at any time in the past will probably get the contact if the past 24 hours is enough to go on. I've seen Germany, Sweden, Australia, England, USA and Canada at least from my memory. They just have a list of purchases and are going through them is what I'm guessing. Some of the police have been lowkey and polite, some have cause further trauma right up to practically insulting the individual.

Fuuuuuck, I hope they don't return but honestly based off my experience I think they will. This officer was telling me he's going to get his detective if I don't open up. And at one point told me he can even boot down the door (not threatening to boot down the door btw, but telling me that he is able to resort to that if necessary). The police are putting their all into this case it seems like. If you answer or admit anything in the future, I'd recommend just saying you ordered it and threw it away and you feel happy and want to live now

They will probably just go through the whole list and do welfare visits themselves or ask social services to. Its pretty standard to check on suicidal people.

Doing them at 4am does not sound reasonable though.

Just had a complete freak out and am still trying not to panic (FALSE ALARM before you read the next bit). Got home to find my whole road cordoned off with multiple police cars and dozens of officers. Almost had a meltdown and then saw there's a man on the bridge over the railway line next to my house. I'm constantly looking outside now as I assume after they're done they'll do my "welfare check" since they're in the area. I almost just want to get it over and done with because I've spent the last 24 hours worrying about it. Sorry to hijack the thread, I just needed to write this out to calm down a bit since I obviously can't explain to anyone else what's going through my head.

I wonder how much of a mental health toll this operation has taken, surely it's doing more bad than good. It also seems extremely unkind to do it in the middle of the night - how can they say they're trying to help by doing that?

Had the visit, nowhere near as dramatic as yours but it did mess up my sleep schedule I was trying so hard to stick to, as it made my ADHD symptoms subside to a level where I can sort of function. I feel ruined today. Can't imagine how bad it must have been for you.

The worst thing of all I can't tell about it to anyone I know oersonally. I have to keep it secret but being incensere really badly affects me.

Ikr it's such bullshit, they act like they're trying to help us , then proceed to alarm us and generate paranoia which makes us unsure if our doorbell is going to be spammed or if our door is going to be knocked aggressively during early hours of the morning not to mention they'll remind you that it's possible to kick your door in, and there's also the "if you don't open the door I'll knock again in 30 minutes I don't know what they think they're achieving

Canada police have started a big investigation, they've got our information from the purchases made for SN, and sent this information to the police in our countries, our police will talk to us then send our information to Canada, and the Canadian police might contact us next

It's the Canadian authorities who are driving this. You did the right thing in refusing to answer questions. They're unlikely to come back and if they do just continue to refuse to answer. Threatening to kick down your door sounds like a desperate ploy on his side- he would need a warrant to enter your home.

I agree with you, I think they're trying to spread the narrative that he's harming teenagers, I've noticed these news articles are saying he sells deadly substances to teens, and the police asked me for my date of birth multiple times

I'm in Western Canada and got a 1am wellness check from the RCMP last night. The constable was very nice and sympathetic and gave me his card to call if I needed anything (which is not in my character to do tho). I'm really freaking out about possible follow ups.

If you're caught half-asleep presumably you're more compliant and likely to answer questions truthfully. But it could also just be they're leaving them until quiet periods as they'll be non-urgent calls. Either way, I feel like if there was genuine concern for welfare then calling at a reasonable time would be more appropriate and appreciated.

This is likely due to the time change for the local police to be notified at 4 am.

I've just been visited, about 9:30pm so much more social hours than others. Just one officer who was really kind, made it very clear that she was just checking I was OK and that apart from this visit there would be no further police involvement and was very conscious of trying not to make thiggs worse from a mental health perspective. Aside from asking if I wanted her to take it away she made no attempt to try and make me give up my SN.

I know everyone has had quite different experiences but based on mine I'd say there's nothing to worry about if you live alone.
