so when researching sodium nitrite, i came across a TV news report regarding the Amazon lawsuit. it said how the people who took the SN were all young and had easy access to it through Amazon, and it showed the parents suffering for the loss.

but they literally omit the most important detail of all, that is never shown: why did they buy it? it's easy to say it's Amazon's fault for selling SN, but why did they buy the SN in the first place? thoughts of buying SN for suicide don't appear out of nowhere. if there was no suffering or pain in these teen's lifes, i'm pretty sure no SN would've ever been bought. we don't know if they were abused by their parents. we don't know if they were getting bullied or something. we don't know what they were going through in any way. i'd definitely guess that at least one of the parents of these young people, shown crying on TV, could literally be the reason why they ctb in the first place.

i wish this kind of information wasn't omitted like that because it is truly important. it's easy to say it's the fault of whoever sold the SN, but what caused these people to buy the SN in the first place should be miles more important.

While I agree, it'd never matter to their narrative. They don't care why they killed themselves because they don't believe children have the right to make any choices, let alone the ultimate choice. It wouyld also shift blame to the parents or someone else. When you're you're suing someone, you can't make anyone else look at fault besides the party you're litigating
