This happened months ago. Even OPs seemed to happen months ago. So why suddenly the thread now? It's not really achieving much in the way of helping or preparing anyone. Any damage is already done. If anything it sets up the potential for more panic because it should have been made immediately clear when this took place so people aren't expecting another visit.

Plus I'm venting and was hoping for a bit of fucking SUPPORT, the experience still weighs heavily on my mind. I hear the UK police can be iron fisted under certain circumstances. A while ago there was a member here, also from the UK who ctb'd via CO fire, and there was a short documentary made about it. The coronor's report mentioned this site, so it is my impression they are going after those who try to ctb.

My gf said one of the police said we'd have had the door knocked down if we didn't answer it, but I didn't hear them say it myself, if they did I was out of the room at the time. Its possible she misunderstood, or that the police maybe were just trying to scare her or something I dunno. But they repeatedly told me i wasn't in trouble. However I did ask them if I could keep it and they said no. I'm not trying to scare anyone, just trying to give the facts.

I hate that this is that case... I get it, but as someone that can't find SN in the US right now, I hate that people are too afraid to share sources because we've been infiltrated by pro-lifers and LE. Why can't those people just leave us in peace and mind their own business, ugh!... rant over.

i had the police show up to confiscate my SN. they made tell them where it was, then dump it down the sink drain and empty my water bottle, and then make a plan so i would be sectioned.

On my 2nd attempt, my mental health provider called the cops on me. I did not know this and my cell phone rang and when I answered it, the lady on the other end told me to open my door as the police were waiting for me to open it. I told her that I was not going to open it, I could do as I pleased, and she informed me that cops, I live in a 1st floor flat, were at the windows and would break through the windows and come in so it was my choice, and I had a few seconds to decide.
I looked out and yes there was a cop at each of the windows so I opened my door and the cops pushed/rushed in. I live in the U.S. and at least here if they think that you are a danger to yourself. they have a right to come in.
The aspect that I wished is that cops had specific training to deal with crisis situations and not the standard cops that write traffic tickets, so sad.

Am also in UK. Had welfare check by Met police same weekend as many back in May.
Just to clarify : Merlin is the name of one of the national police database in England & Wales. It records persons believed to be vulnerable where police have been notified or called to intervene. Welfare checks will therefore appear on Merlin.
Re forced entry : in UK yes police can force entry under s17 of PACE ( Police & Criminal Evidence Act ). Threshold is high ie imminent or immediate realistic belief risk to life or limb. Used regularly where mental health is of issue. Police usually only told its a welfare check and there's a risk of suicide. They can also remove any item they think might cause you harm under same s17. Which gives them some search powers. Obviously there's a lot of items in a home that could harm so search usually limited to the item they believe you will use. How long they'll search for depends on how high they have been told your risk is.
Hopefully that clears some things up .

Doctor just did less then the minimum leaving everything to the nurses who just treated you like shit. They should allow people after a time to end their lives painlessly and peacefully. Instead of making people trying to CTB in the shadows of the night trying to avoid detection....
