Phenobarbital - why is there not more discussion about this as an alternative to N compared to something like SN?

It seems like this barb is available on the dark web, why isn't it more popular as a method compared to something like SN? From what I've read you need a higher dose than you would with N, and that it's much slower acting, but if you account for those two factors by taking a larger dose and do it in a place where you won't be found for a while - wouldn't this be an ideal method to go out peacefully?

I am still trying to figure out how long it usually takes to die after ingestion to understand how much time you'd need to account for after taking it. Still though, it can't be that difficult to do it in a place where you wouldn't be found for a while.

Is there anything else I'm missing with this method not being reliable? Obviously want to hear about it if I am as I'm looking into this as a potential method so please correct me if needed.

Are you sure you're not talking about pentobarbital aka Nembutal? That seems like it is impossible to source but users on here have reported getting access to pentobarbital. Unlike N it's still being produced and prescribed.

From what I found, you need a lot of phenobarbital to be entirely sure, I'd look at 30g for 70kg.
Phenobarbital is slow acting - what if something unforeseen happens?
There's nobody to monitor you like a vet or doctor would for euthanasia.
To come by so much of it is tricky, I'd need to do illegal stuff for months to collect enough.
I can't bring myself to do it, I'm scared I get caught and go to prison.
If you can access a lot without risk, then research it and see what you think.
Personally, if I had enough, I would do this, even with the risks.

Edit: The cult did use it, but only the last two members were not monitored, but it went according to plan all he same.

It's a long(slow)-acting barbiturate and although 600mg will hit a bit faster than a therapeutic dose of 100mg, it's still slow compared to the short(fast)-acting barbiturates.
