I thought she was unconscious when they went to rescue her? Then how did she respond immediately (the guy asked are you okay she said yeah) Shouln't it take like a couple minutes for someone who just fell unconscious to regain consciousness or am I wrong about that..

Those here on SS venting "I CANNOT EVEN pass out !!!!!!!" VS Those happy people who are just experimenting out of boredom but actually died
Sorry I've been trying to pass out following the guidelines presented in the various threads....just can't fucking do it ! Myabe I'm too stupid or not talented. Just managed once to pass out with partial hanging, was unpleasant and took ages, not nice, thought I finally got there and then belt dissociates from the doorknob and I wake up slamming my face onto the floor ! Please don't take the piss out of people who ARE trying but just can't get there...happens a lot in life as well by the way....please have a bit of pity on us ungifted but trying hard ones !

People who make these videos and think they are helping to prevent suicide, are actually pretty stupid.

Thanks for the video!
They want to prevent accidents, not suicide, at least that's what I understood.

Eventhough it is supposedly for saving people from dying from autoerotic asphyxiation, these people gave us a near perfect resource for hanging ourselves properly. Thank them.

In all my experiences with strangulation/hanging I have only ever gotten to the "tingly hot face feeling" that after I released the pressure turned into the "hot wave flush all over my face". I can only imagine that if I would've kept going longer my vision would've turned black and I pass out immediately.

That was because I was not applying the pressure properly. Only with my hands or a ratchet strap which didn't work. Never had the balls to go for it. One time I hadn't eaten for a long time and stood up quickly and felt the same tingly hot flush feeling and almost passed out. I smashed into a cabinet and didn't fall. So I was close to passing out.

What do you think of this video? Anyone experienced this? What were your experiences with passing out?

Please share, we need to share this info for each other.

I'm crying at how easy she makes this look. It looks so simple. Just ordered my rope online hope it comes soon.

Why am I not able to see this video? Just want to CTB ASAP via partial like Robin Williams

I would love to test this. I'm very familiar with the physics and anatomy of it, but I'm deeply interested in how it feels and works in practice. Sadly this is not something to play with, so I'll have to wait until the time comes, but I would love to feel my body fade out. Too bad I don't have anyone around to spot for me that wouldn't be super disturbed by suicide practice/play.

Thank you for the video. Its good to get a visual to go with the reading.

Now that I can view it I would honestly do it tomorrow if someone could ensure I'm out and done for, then leave with no responsibility/remorse

Wow, that was fast! So the core concept is that you have to build up pressure in the head for a long enough time then quickly stand up to release blood flow back to the brain which knocks you out?

I had that flush when I was a kid. Often times when I stood up from bed I had this feeling like someone poured hot water over my head and I got super dizzy very quickly.

If one gets this right, partial has to be the most peaceful method there is. I do wonder though what happens in full suspension? Is it that fast as well or will you just choke to death?

Thanks for sharing the video. I just saved it on a playlist (named ChillTunesBaby lol) so I can watch it again. Partial hanging is my method unless I can get strong enough drugs to OD on which are hard to find here.

Can anyone help me regarding the second girl in the video, around the 9:00 mark? The narrator says she was practicing with a slipknot, and immediately went into hypoxia cramps and was unable to stand up. In the video, it looks like she is suffering.

I thought if you cut off the carotid arteries, it took about up to 20 seconds to lose consciousness, and you could back out at any point until then. It looks like she immediately was unable to stand up, and was suffering.

Partial is the only realistic option to me, but I'm scared of being in extreme pain for my last moments.

You can loose unconsciousness as quick as 3 to 5 seconds. Those are decerebrate and decorticate rigidity, involuntary movement of the limbs after brain damage. They start after unconsciousness sets in so she couldn't have felt them. Atleast that is the science, the dead can't confirm :)

Thanks for replying. What seems strange in the video, is her hands instantly curl from hypoxia cramps, and she appears to be unable to stand up. Therefore, did she lose consciousness instantly?

Like you say, the dead can't confirm, so it's all guesswork. I'm just a very anxious person, and this video has scared me from practicing partial. I will only do it when I'm certain I'm ok with it being the end, and possibly facing some intense pain and suffering, before hopefully going home to oblivion.

There appears to be a few seconds before her hands curled up. Before unconsciousness there is a small second of total confusion where you wouldn't know what is happening and you can't save your self.
This video can help you understand more about the process

Watching live videos of hanging suicides can also help you visualize it more but it can also have an adverse effect on you as this are real life tragic videos.
this video has scared me from practicing partial
Yes the video does confirm how dangerous practicing can be and how it can lead to an accedntal death. That is why the guy in the first part of the video is discussing about how to practice safely.

Thanks for linking that video. He explains that you can enter a state of confusion and lose motor control in as little as 5 seconds. I guess that the 2nd girl in the video had constricted her carotids for 5 seconds before her step collapsed.

It's scary, as he says it then takes another 30 seconds to lose consciousness. During this time your ears are ringing, you see flashing lights and I guess are generally confused/perhaps panicking?

Being scared and anxious, I was hoping it might be quicker and easier than this, as I have heard from other posts that hanging can be quick and painless. My problem is I'm in the UK, so hanging is the best option available for me.

Yes he does mention 30 seconds but I guess that is the maximum average time. People in most hanging videos show loss of consciousness in less than 20 seconds. In addition researches done from watching those videos concluded 5 to 20 seconds for unconsciousness in all videos. At the end of the day with hanging some discomfort in the beginning is to be expected even if it's seconds. And it could be minutes if done wrong.

Thanks for this. Hopefully with the right preparation I can get lucky and be unconscious relatively quickly.

Yep me also despite all the knowledge I've built up. As soon as my ears start to ring quite loudly I get scared bit this was with me strangling myself with a rope, I haven't tried the new position in partial suspension yet where my hands are free.
I practiced once recently, and immediately panicked and got up. My problem with practicing is, my eyes ached for a few days, and as I have marfan syndrome I have an increased chance of detaching my retinas. Therefore, I think I will have to study as much as possible without practicing again. I just know with my luck, I will detach both retinas, if I try it again.

Yes doing your research is adviced. There are plenty of informations in the megathread and the other hanging threads.

Yes, thanks again for the time you spent replying in this thread. You have helped me a lot.

I will definitely read more of the megathread. It just has so many pages, that it can seem overwhelming.
Like you I have medical problems that make practicing harder and scarier, it really would suck if part of all of the reason you want to CTB is the very thing making it scarier, risky or impossible.
To be honest, I didn't even think about the risk of detaching my retinas when I practiced. It was only after being aware of a pulsating ache in my eyes for a few days after that I realised it could have happened.

It shows that it's always worth planning and thinking about all the possibilities, beforehand.

You are right, try to read all if you have the time, else the last few pages are helpful enough.
