I think it is good when pedophiles take themselves out. This is a completely rational suicide, if someone who is attracted to minors kills themselves before he can offend. These people atleast know that their attraction is wrong and dangerous. I dont think anyone disagrees that commiting suicide as a pedophile is a good thing. What do you think of pedophiles who kill themselves before they can offend?

I think the world would be a much better place if they would all off themselves. I would say the vast majority of people on SS have been victims.

Thats why the pedophiles who kill themselves before they offend have my sympathy. If they do it after, then not.

It's infuriating that so many victims kill themselves without ever hurting anyone while pedophiles never take themselves out until they know they're facing decades in Protective Custody.

There's a huge distinction between being a pedophile living in celibacy, with no intentions of changing that, and being a pedophile who is also a sexual offender. I'm not aware of any human rights activists defending the latter.

An analogous example: is someone who derives enjoyment from fictional violence in media an immoral person if they themselves never perform violent acts, and understand and agree that doing so would be immoral?

This happens with imprisonment too, and i would say wrongly imprisoned for years is worse. By the way im highly pro torture too.

But even if you disregard any such argument and have no concern whatsoever for the criminals, you should be careful about performing an irreversible act with such great consequences. According to Wikipedia, 144 people have been exonerated while on death row in the US. Chances are that innocent people have been killed. In a hypothetical where there is a 100% certainty that the person is guilty, someone with your moral views could perhaps justify killing certain people. But in reality you'll almost definitely end up undeserving people. And if the power to kill "criminals" falls into the hands of corrupted authorities, you're giving them a really powerful tool to maintain their power.

This is a very bad mentality to have if you're actually concerned with making the world a better place. Vengeance is unconstructive.

Maybe youre right, but im a very vengeful person. No way i will turn the other cheek.

Why just paedophiles? Why not physically abusive parents, too? Or emotionally abusive parents? Those do irrevocable damage to kids as well. Oh, and what about bullies? Lots of kids kill themselves because of bullying, should the bullies die, even though they're children, too? And why do we only care about the children? People commit crimes against adults, too. Should all the violent criminals with adult victims die? What about non violent criminals, like con men? (They tend to ruin far more lives than violent criminals, incidentally.)

"All the [blank]s should die" is a very slippery slope, and before you know it, you end up with a very empty world. That may or may not bother you ... I've got something of a watch the world burn desire myself, not to mention a vicious streak of my own... but you should be aware of what you're getting yourself into. The nature of life is selfish and competitive and ultimately inherently depends on hurting and killing your fellow life forms (unless you happen to a photosynthetic organism, maybe), so maybe that advice about not casting the first stone unless you're sinless yourself is wise counsel. There's someone out there that you hurt at some point in your life too, and we all tend to be a lot less keen on facing retribution ourselves than we are about doling it out to whomever the focus of our anger is.

Ideally they should be under some measure of control rather assures that they do not act out on their urges rather than killing themselves.

Sounds like you're saying paedophiles are born that way, and don't really have a choice in their sexual urges, but violent people choose to be violent and do have a choice in their violent and hateful urges?
