I don't think it matters what you prefer, I just think informed consent should be involved in permanently altering one's body.

Of course not, but in my case it was because of medical reasons. But yes there is a reason we have a foreskin, jerking off is harder too. One of the reason for cirumcision was to decrease masturbation, because its of course a sin according to the abrahamic religions. It was called self abuse.

In those cases, they are the exception rather than the rule and even then it's considered the first step rather than more conservative measures which are very effective in most cases. That was why it was introduced but it causes even more harm than not being able to rub one out. There are numerous other disadvantages (physical trauma on a fragile infant CNS, loss of stimulation for both sexes, etc, etc...) and it's only still on-going today because of ignorance, cultural preference and greed from the medical industry.

I agree. But I'm talking about cultures that have been doing these things for thousands of years and have been conditioned to not only approve of the practice(s), but prefer the altered result. What we (macro view) see as ok vs not ok due to cultural norms can be pretty surprising. Really just trying to have an objective discussion …..

I may have come off rude. I was just trying to say that having a preference doesn't mean you're a bad person. Your preference may very well be based in societal expectations.

I'm circumcised too because of phimosis, I would have preferred not be. But what can you do.

As for female genital mutilation ("female circumcision"), I think it's more serious and horrifying for them, they remove more vital parts like the clitoris

It is most definitely not cheaper - in fact it's a lot more expensive than locking someone up for life. And do you realize how many people have been sentenced to death, only to later be proven not guilty?

I don't think it should be banned, it just shouldn't be done to infants. An infant can't be a Muslim or Jew even if their parents are. From what I understand, a lot of female circumcision is also religiously based. If someone out there thinks they have the religious right to mutilate someone's body, then fuck 'em.

I was circumcised the day that I was born because it's the cultural norm and hospitals need more money by providing a worse-than-useless service for a fee as well as selling the foreskins for extra profit (stem cells).

I think it is good when pedophiles take themselves out. This is a completely rational suicide, if someone who is attracted to minors kills themselves before he can offend. These people atleast know that their attraction is wrong and dangerous. I dont think anyone disagrees that commiting suicide as a pedophile is a good thing. What do you think of pedophiles who kill themselves before they can offend?
