Partial success stories

Are there any stories we know of where SS members successfully CTB'd with the partial method? Or even night-night? I failed partial trying to many times, and have spent an absurd amount of time using my hands to try to find the "sweet spot", no matter what I do, I just can't seem to make it happen. I've seen countless others posting about failure, so I'm curious if there's any known success stories.

God damn just one and it was 5 years ago, not too encouraging lol. I'm glad that person found peace though and I appreciate the reply

There's always the possibility that we never know because it can't be confirmed too

Oh for sure. I'm sure that happens as well. But after seeing the recent thread about people successfully CTB, nearly all were from SN, a few other methods sprinkled in, not a single one partial. So it's not that I think it can't possibly work, it for sure can. Celebs have used it, prisoners, kids pass away playing "the blackout game" etc. honestly I'm just trying to get an idea of just how hard it is. Right now it's my only viable method so I don't wanna give up on it until I leave no stone unturned.

I totally get that. Practice. And when you can get it take a step back and breathe for a moment. I can get it fairly often but still practice.

We should get rid of or change the partial thread in the methods resource megathread. It doesnt show the reality good of how difficult this method actually is and the risk of damaging the brain is there aswell…

I have known 2 people that successfully CTB with partial hanging methods. (Not on this forum fwiw) That being said, it doesn't give any ease to those having issues with it.

FWIW I've been toying with combining part of the night-night method with partial. It seems to be helping. I've just been using socks, placing them over the carotids, placing the tie (or rope or whatever one would use) over the socks. Getting lightheaded much faster than I have prior, so it's encouraging for the next real attempt.

I felt like the issue was that because the trachea sticks out further than the carotids, that it's hard to get the pressure on those arteries without having more pressure on the trachea, if that makes sense. So putting something over the carotids helps add pressure to those specific spots.

Agreed. It makes it sound so simple, I was so relieved when I found that thread. And it's just far more complicated.

But for what it's worth, i mentioned it on another comment but just incase you don't see it, combining part of the night-night method seems to be helping. I can't say for sure because I (obviously) haven't made a real attempt with it yet, but toying around with it I'm getting lightheaded much faster than ever before, and this time without the head pressure. My thought is that because the trachea sticks out further than the carotids, that simply having a rope or tie or whatever you're using around your whole neck, it's impossible to get the most pressure on the arteries without more pressure on the trachea. By placing socks right over the arteries, and placing the rope over that, (night-night method says to use cornhole bags, but anything similar can work imo), it gives a way to make sure the pressure it's being put on the arteries. It's pretty encouraging and I'll keep everyone updated. And will make a new post before my next real attempt where I'll try this added part.

Still here, was unable to even get on this site for a while there, glad to see its back up. Unfortunately haven't been able to make another real attempt yet. Burnt too much money on hotel rooms on past failed attempts, gotta be damn sure my next one will work. But I am more confident now than those times.
