Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

has there been any successful attempts of hanging with a belt? it seems like alot of the attempts end in the belt breaking.

im planning to attempt today by partial hanging with a belt. (hopefully less likely to break if its partial?) the plan is to loop it around my neck and tie the other end to my bedframe and js sink to my knees to increase the pressure on my neck. I also heard it might be a good idea to put rolled up socks between my neck and the belt loop to have the pressure target the carotid artery so I'm going to do that as well. my main issue–besides going through with it–is that im not sure if the belt would break or not. is this a reliable method? or am i taking a gamble

It's all a gamble my friend. Methods, odds, equipment.

You will find anecdotal evidence of partial hangings not working with all sorts of equipment. The research is the easy part.

It can work with a belt, but it's not the best material for a ligature. It depends on how heavy you are, but neckties and robe ties can work better. My advice is that if you're going to do this with a belt, double check that it's not going to fall off the anchor. You can test this by putting your hand in the noose and pushing down.
