I wonder if holding your breath until relatively uncomfortable before suddenly dropping weight into the noose would help lose consciousness much faster, or maybe hyperventilating beforehand? Apologies if this been asked before. Or does anyone have any similar ideas or theories on why many people don't seem to be compressing the carotid arteries or finding the sweet spot, like do you think it's because of something else is the reason for not losing consciousness rather than not being able to find the "sweet spot"? Thanks in advance.

Just makes no sense to me why people seem to be finding this method difficult and other people seemingly without researching can just do it like nothing. Were you leaning forward in your attempt when you put your weight? Seems like many of the failed attempts I read say they leant forward in their attempt.

I think some people can't pass out because they release their body weight slowly instead of releasing all the weight at once, and also because they try to push the rope or something like that.

it is better to simply relax all the muscles in the body and simply let gravity pull the body down.

I was able to block the arteries by leaving the rope above the Adam's apple, very close to the mandible.

Agree. Should be as simple as letting go. Did you lose consciousness?

I have done tests by putting the noose around my neck and pulling the rope by hand. I stop pulling the rope when I start to feel weakness in the body and sense of consciousness disappearing. so I didn't lose consciousness completely.

if it is blocking the arteries, in a few seconds the vision goes dark and a noise of bells or whistle inside the head, is the first thing that I feel.

What rope/ligature/material did you use may I ask?
