i've been scouring the threads on partial hanging for a while now, and i believe i've tried like most of the tips. i know i'm doing the correct knot so that's not an issue for me - the issue is that i haven't even been able to find my carotid arteries once. i've tried squeezing all around my neck with my fingers, i've tested it out using my rope (it's just a simple jumping rope) where i pull the long end (that i'm going to hang the entire noose with) with my other hand so that it tightens around my neck.

i haven't been able to lose consciousness once. the force in which i hang myself in the noose isn't really an issue, because i'm kind of just letting my body go slack in it. i haven't tried actually partially suspending with my constricting knot yet (before, i had tried but then i realised my knot wasn't constricting so i've redone it) but from what i've done so far with the rope in my hand, the pressuring/exploding head feeling comes extremely quickly. i tend to hold my breath when i do this too. but i am incredibly frustrated because i can't even last 10 seconds in the noose since the exploding feeling is unbearable.

i mean at some point i might be able to grit my teeth and bear it but i really want to become unconscious quickly. i'm just so jealous these other people can do this with fucking BED SHEETS and it seems so easy for them... i've watch quite a few hanging videos already. lucky bastards. how come it's so easy to die on accident but when you actually want to it's so hard :( it's currently 4am and i want to kill myself before the morning comes. somebody pls help...

I feel the same way, watching videos where people use the flimsiest materials and seem to do it sloppily but succeed is so irritating because I have the rope and did the research and also can't pass out. Having the same issue with the carotid and passing out and want to be gone now, I tried fsh but now am going to be trying partial hopefully it'll work better but idk

i wish i could at least try full suspension too, but i don't have any viable anchor points (i could try the bar my curtains hang off of but that's probably far too flimsy). i'm actually going to cry i've been going at this for days... mostly at night because that's when my parents are sleeping

Idk I saw a hanging thread that says full isn't necessary it's just more pain for the same result and after attempting I think it might be true, I didn't get the passing out feeling when trying full, I watched videos and people were out almost instantly but I either felt like choking or just extreme neck pain, the only time I felt tingly and my ears ring was when I pulled the rope with my own hands as practice with the knot so I'm hoping if I try partial and just get the right spot I can be done quick, pain free and easy

i have and the only effect this had was that the exploding feeling was delayed a little.
the rope probably isn't self tightening enough, and not compressing the carotids enough. did you try folded socks in the rope too?

that's definitely what i'm aiming for too. sometimes if i'm lucky, my hands and legs feel a little weak and tingly! but that hasn't happened recently.

i haven't tried the folded socks yet, but wouldn't that just make it harder for the carotids to be compressed since the pressure is softened by the socks?
also i'm not sure if my socks would be able to fit on my rope since it's a skipping rope (it's one of the thicker ones but still) :(

hey, it's okay, maybe this method just isn't for you? it doesn't have to be rushed. take some time to think

i'm quite adamant on doing this method since i don't have many other options. i can't buy anything, especially not drugs (they're very regulated in my country anyway), and i don't know of any high buildings near me. things like the strangulation method require some level of skill and if i can't even partially hang myself i definitely won't be able to do that...
