Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I feel like I overthink too much. I worry if I'm constantly messing up. I feel like I'm either saying to much or just annoying someone because I worry to much. It's starting to make me more secluded and I shrink into myself. I want to be more confident in myself but it's very hard. Dealing with suicidal thoughts and wanting to hurt myself. I always delete things a few times when texting because I worry I'm saying the wrong thing. Can some offer some advice please. I would appreciate it.

I haven't found any other "cures" than drugs and drinking but holy shit how exhausting it can be to do this from the moment you wake up to when you fall asleep. Repeat the next day and week and forever and not end up anywhere but where you were all along. I hate OCD. I'm sorry if this doesn't add any value.

I am wondering, could compulsively overthinking be OCD? Your post does add value.

Rumination, it is one of the most common compulsions in primarily obsessive OCD for example. It can just be extremely bad anxiety too, if you don't have a diagnosis for anything and you wish to at least just figure out the root cause of this all perhaps visit a doctor?

I relate so much to this, sady I can't help to much either. My go-to strategy is to get, at least slightly, drunk to at least reduce the overthinking but I understand how that is very situational. I've also been blessed to have a few friends I'm close enough to, to be able to just sometimes tell them that I am overthinking, this relives me personally sometimes. Just the action of telling someone what you are thinking and maybe laughing with them about it, however it is hard to trust someone that much and I myself couldn't do that half a year ago.
What I'm trying to tell you is that maybe admitting your overthinking to close friends might at least help and relive you a bit of that feeling of seclusion, at least it did for me.
I whish you all the bestđź«‚

I read a suggestion somewhere that basically said to give yourself a set and scheduled amount of overthink time. It doesn't completely eliminate it but can give you a firmer grip on it if you can stick to it.
