Was it done on purpose by a malicious creator ?
I suffer from the fact that our world is straight up boring. Our existence is by definition limited by strict limitations that cannot be transgressed in any way, such as the law of gravity for example.
I often imagine how living in a fictional world would be, the way how it would make life more enjoyable if, for example, it was possible for us to fly in the sky, to run as fast as a train, to customize our appearance at will the same way video games designers allow players to do so with their virtual character, to explore different dimensions, and so on. But instead we got meaningless human-made nuisances such as politics and capitalism lol
My point is, our imagination is limitless but our world is mostly boring, the universe is empty, there is no magic anywhere. That's the perfect recipe to make life seem worthless even though it is literally a statistical miracle that wasn't meant to happen. But when it did happen after trillions of years, it only lead to boring stuff. It is such a bummer, it's almost as if things had been made this way on purpose.
The internet and, to a lesser extent, artifical intelligence, have made it even more boring, we will never experience the thrill of exploring an uncharted area and stumbling upon a fucking giraffe or some shit. I don't know if that makes sense, but it's as if there is nothing left to be discovered anymore except strange islands stained with children blood everywhere.
We are allowed to dream as much as we want, we can write books about our dreams, we can compose music about them, we can portray them in movies, cartoons, animes, series, you name it. But doing that only makes the contrast between our boring universe and what it could have been starker.
This world is boring and it sucks. The closest thing to magic that has been made available to us is to put a seed in another conscious lump of flesh and watch it become a sort of copy of yourself after decades of patience. I wish we could switch dimensions and choose a different universe to live in.
