I just believe life to be such a terrible, unnecessary concept which is set out to inflict unnecessary suffering on to people. There is no need to have a chance at life in the first place. Those that never existed would never had missed out on anything, but to never exist means to never suffer so it's ideal. Everything in this life is determined by chance after all with limited control over our life circumstances with no limit as to how awful things can potentially get for us. To me, life itself isn't something that should be glorified or admired, it would feel wrong to do that. I wish that I never had to experience life at all, it's the worst thing to be born into a world like this, only those who die are the true lucky ones.

I didn't know that. Interesting. I'd still chalk that down to something else like imagination or coaching by an adult but idk. I prefer to believe that when I die that's it - I don't *want* any other lives tbh! But that's just me, take it with a pinch of salt

I agree- it's quite incredible when it happens and it does seem strange when they remember so much detail.

Still- why do you think it is the tiniest percentage of the world population that remembers their past lives? Why are we usually reset at birth to remember nothing? (The vast majority of us.) Surely- if the process is to make us better, it would be useful to remember past life mistakes?

A friend at college went to be regressed once and he could recall points of death each time. Honestly, I'd prefer it to be this life and out but I don't really like to rule out anything either. Life is pretty mysterious afterall.

As one who obviously believes- do you think there is a purpose to it all? Are we reincarnated in order to become better/ learn new lessons? Do you believe then that humanity is getting any better? If our souls have already had a few tries at life. Or, maybe we end up some place else when we reach a certain level? Is there an end goal to all this- where we succeed at whatever it is? The idea is you will be born again and again until you come to know who you really are which is beyond the body and mind, until you realize you are pure consciousness which is never born and never dies. Only once you see the futility of all desires you will be free from birth and death. it is your desires which bring you back into the world again and again.

We don't remember out past lives because we would be so troubled by past memories and mistakes, one life is enough for that and someone who was your brother in a previous life may be your girlfriend so it would all be so confusing and you would have no innocence as a child to be so burdended with knowledge.
