the prospect of dying doesn't scare me. i think i'm more scared of the idea of failing and having to face the consequences. i'm excited to die.

I would say 9. I'm not really afraid of failure because I have chosen a very reliable method and have a well thought out plan. I am afraid of the dying process and being alone in my last moments. I am afraid of a possible afterlife.

I'm afraid of pain and I'm afraid of failing and then living out disabled somehow due to the failed attempt's damage.
The method I will use is SN, if I do it. I'm currently trying to get some, hopefully my source was legit and will arrive.

It really just depends on where does our consciousness go. If I go to heaven/paradise of some kind, it doesn't scare me. If our consciousness just stop existing, it doesn't scare me. If we have to roam the afterlife full of regrets for what could have been, it definitely scares me.

i cant stand pain, i worry any attempt will result in a failure and my life will get even worse- but ill be too weak to try again
i worry that maybe ive been wrong this whole time and my death really would hurt the people around me, or i would be missing out on the opportunity to finally be happy if i did go
i also worry that it wont be the end to everything... like ill still end up waking up somewhere, still in pain
or maybe some kind of personal hell does exist and thats where ill wind up
what if i have to face every mistake i ever made in life before i can 'move on'? i already cant stand that in the land of the living
theres also this irrational fear, but it definitely adds to it just because of how freaky it is
there was this SCP story i read awhile back where, basically (and im paraphrasing heavily) someone died and was eventually brought back to life using your typical weird SCP bullshit, but they talk about how every second since their death was excruciating; they couldnt move or talk or anything but could still feel everything, was still completely conscious
as their body rotted and their flesh died away they felt every second of that pain and loneliness, what would have been eternal torture
like i said, irrational, just a scary story
but it leaves a mark, pops into my head every time i imagine death

dying itself doesnt scare me, it brings me relief. The idea of failing an attempt and ending up even more messed up and disabled is what scares me.

Probably a 5. Most of the fear comes from what happens after death. I am still terrified that hell is real and I will end up there.
