I just started trying this - I had 4 cloves of raw garlic this evening. I made the whole room smell and had complaints from family members.
I am taking it for allergies, but apparently there is an anecdote that it can help depression and also libido.

I know this is kind of a joke post - but you never know your luck. Also, I am going a bit crazy, because I hate going to sleep, because then I have to wake up again in the morning with my death fantasies again. So....garlic...

this website is a biased one for sure, but it claims to have some scientific studies mentioned on it: https://www.miracleofgarlic.com/stress-fatigue-and-garlic/

Update: took 4 cloves or raw garlic last night, then 4 this morning. A lot less panicked and less suicidal. And today out of bed (I was bedridden for a few days with depression). But I do reek. Am going to see if this keeps helping, and try and find a less smelly way to take it.

Anyone who tries it, please review and let me know.

I read somewhere there are restaurants in India that have special signs outside showing that they serve food without garlic, as it was known to "inflame the passions".

So unless I made that up from a random dream, there may be something in it.

Maybe it'll work until you get depressed because you have to eat raw garlic every day.

:pfff:
Ok, but for real, though, you can develop a taste for ANYTHING.
My father uses increasing quantities of mayonnaise in his salads.
As a result I can (hypothetically) scarf down a whole jar of raw mayo.

I'm not sure howy body will react, considering the butter tea experiment.
Judging by the butter tea experiment, I might shit out my colon.

I think that most health food stores carry odourless garlic capsules (Kyolic? might be the name), but they are processed in some way, I believe.
On a side note, you'll never be troubled by vampires! (Not trying to make light of your depression, though. Keep trying different things).

I chopped it up and tried to swallow it,but I ended up having to chew it which isn't recommend. I'm staying with my dad who hates garlic - but I am going out to get a garlic crusher. I'm still not sure the best way to take 5 cloves, maybe I need to adjust to the taste. I'm thinking doing it as a shot with lemon juice. Hmm
I suspect your stomach will burst before you get poisoned.
My stomach was fine. Which was a surprise, as I cannot eat raw onions.
I'm enjoying this thread, thank you all.

Apparently raw garlic is better than capsules.

Also I have spent £1000s on supplements this year, so raw garlic is cheaper.

The smell...my notaboyfriend has not thrown me out yet...but there is a constant taste of garlic that I have.

Today I am testing Tramadol though as it's a bit stronger...the garlic seemed to help a lot, but am trying to see if I can patch myself up more than that

If you try the garlic, please review it here

I'm a fan of anything that works so if this works for you then great. Garlic does have a lot of good medicinal properties.

Although, four cloves a day seems quite high, I can see advice saying limit to 1-2 cloves in this link. It will kill your gut flora, I know eating it raw irritated my GI tract. I'm not sure what the recommended dose is for keeping vampires away, it doesn't say.

Maybe try cayenne, too! I used to love that combo until my gut got messed up from cancer. If you do it right, pizza can be a health food!

Well, now you know for sure that you are not a vampire for :ahhha:
Actually you are quite opposite if it helps you, I don't know what that would be, a wolverine I guess?
Nonetheless, I'm glad that it has helped you, but as someone said already, it's sound more like torment and masochism :D

It's actually not ridiculous at all. Our modern diets are so processed and lacking so many key nutrients. Anything that is natural and has Anti Fungal, Anti Inflammatory, and anti bacterial properties can be extremely beneficial to a persons well being. Also Stomach and digestive health plays a huge role in brain health.

I know I sound like a broken record in my posts, but so many psychological symptoms are a manifestation of poor diet, to much sugar, food allergies, and underlying infections from yeast, mold, bacteria l, and virus.

Magnesium, garlic, ginger, tumeric, and raw untefined coconut oil are just a few of natures cures that really work.

Infact organic unrefined Coconut oil is being used in the treatment of PTSD. I really wish more people understood the old saying "you are what you eat".
