Hello! I'm trying to obtain metoclopramide (Meto), so I used an online pharmacy chat service. I explained that I suffer from migraines accompanied by nausea and vomiting, and that I've taken Meto in the past with good results. The online physician told me they could not prescribe Meto due to its black box warning and instead prescribed Zofran.

Will the Zofran work for the SN method or are there any other options for me to get my hands on the Meto?

not prescribing due to the black box warning is so stupid because almost every medication has a black box warning??? thats weird af. sorry that happened.

i don't believe zofran will work because metoclopramide works with dopamine, and zofran works with serotonin, if im not mistaken. according to sn guides i used to read, it HAS to be dopamine.

If you can't get hold of Meto, the PPH recommends Domperidone/Prochlorperazine

Unfortunately, zofran doesn't block the same receptors so while it may help you not vomit, it won't assist in gastric emptying (which is why metoclopramide is recommended). is domperidone feasible for you/your region?
