Are the videos in the Dropbox file or something? I can't find them in the OP otherwise.

Do you guys think this method could work just using the arbor knot or would it have a good chance of getting loose without an anchor

Maybe this has already been answered so I will read the whole thread. But just to be sure I want to ask.

So a reef knot is essentially two opposite half knots.

If we think about tying three half knots, will this work:
1. Left over right half knot at front of neck
2. Bring the two ends around the neck back around to the front again (does it matter whether one end is over the other, for this step?)
3. Left over right half knot
4. Right over left half knot

Or do I have to swap 3 and 4 around?

Found the video btw but still needing clarification. Thanks :)

If you download the Dropbox link in the OP and look at the videos file, there are two videos with titles that begin 'untitled' and 'copy'. They are the same video but I prefer the copy one because the untitled one has a weird green filter on it. The rest of the videos in the file are of hanging rather than L.S..

Bump.

I will be using the thin rope below, either for ligature strangulation or (if I fail) maybe partial suspension hanging. The OP specifies a thin material like a lace so I think this will be suitable.

I am concerned that the reef knot at the end might not hold the pressure... I've just gotta hope for the best I guess.
