Is anyone on SaSu known to have CTB'd successfully with either LS or a military style tourniquet?

I'm considering doing a makeshift tourniquet method like this guy:

Untied-pantyhose-case-2.png

Apparently he twisted the wood plank there twice and he was out.

I have a couple exercise bands, if I fit something in like a plank or vacuum pipe and twist, that should create enough force to suffocate me. I can go under my bed and place the plank/bar/pipe or whatever against the frame to stop it unwinding.

I tested this method and it worked very well. I used a wooden kitchen spatula, inserted it in the exercise band around my neck, and twisted a few times until the pressure increased. The spatula stayed put easily, it didn't automatically unwind.

I'm pretty excited about this... If my primary method of tying a thin rope around a black bin bag and my neck doesn't work, this should.

Appatently that's a fabric belt in the photo rather than an exercise band as I assumed, however I have tried this with an exercise band and it seemed to work just as well or better (had to twist the spatula 10+ times though).

Someone DM'd me wanting a photo, thought I'd share here. Standard exercise band and wooden spatula.

I will keep updating this thread until I get it right.

Padding is definitely recommended, I attempted but it was pretty painful especially because my neck hairs kept getting caught in the band.

Will try again with this balaklava thing as a thin padding.

Update 2: Ok, nope. Even with the (very thin) padding, the band is catching my skin in the twist and creating a burning pain. Maybe I will try with thicker padding, but also I might have to shelve this idea and go with classic ligature strangulation with a thin rope.

It might also partly be that I'm drunk and my pain tolerance seems low compared to what it usually is, my body is really relaxed so its hard to get hyped up enough to really go for broke. But I was hoping for a more or less painless method. Hmmmm.

Doesn't sound nice..

Maybe not do this when you're drunk? đź«‚
It's your choice obviously! Just like to see it not be a drink or impulsive thing ❤️

Yeah guess I'll try again later, too tired now. But I hope can I use the weight of impulse later. This actually felt too premeditated, I was out of touch with the core emotions that drive my desperation to CTB, my body was too focused on enjoying the mulled wine sensation I guess. They should kick in later though, but this time I was unable to achieve unconsciousness, anyway I think I'll have to swap out this method and go with thin rope or cable ties.

Actually, hold that thought... I tried again, this time with TWO exercise bands and a scarf for padding. I put the scarf over my head and ears, sort of hijab style.

This seemed to work much better and was a lot more comfortable. I felt unconsciousness coming on, and it was difficult to undo the set up, which I only did to post this update.

So I might give this another attempt.
If I don't further update this thread, please assume I've been successful.
(looks like this. Scarf and band placement can be adjusted as needed. Spatula is turned forward until blackout.)

Just tried again, it wasn't as painful on the skin but I was still getting an exploding head feeling. According to this thread, you're not supposed to feel that?

Any updates on this?
The update was basically the edit above: "Just tried again, it wasn't as painful on the skin but I was still getting an exploding head feeling. According to this thread, you're not supposed to feel that?"

Unfortunately due to that exploding head feeling, I had to give this method a miss. I don't know how the guy in the picture did it with a belt, must have been pretty painful though. My body was breaking out into sweat and unconsciousness seemed too far away, not like i was close to it. Apparently if you get that exploding head feeling and you can't achieve unconsciousness quickly, you're doing something wrong. :(
