How possible is ligature strangulation using cable ties?

Hello,

How possible do you think is ligature strangulation using cable ties?

This might be the only way for me to ctb. The idea is to do in at night while everyone is asleep. But I could not compress my arteries at all using drawstring from pajamas. All I achieved is headache and feeling of pressure growing in my head. As I know this means I only compressed my veins.
