The most obvious ones that come to mind:
  • Not to use your phone (or any device) first thing in the morning. I usually pick my phone up when I already did all the bathroom stuff and made my bed
  • Air your room and clean it regularly
  • Not to skip out on (any) meds too often
  • Have at least one normal meal a day, any snacks or drinks don't count
  • Not to ignore personal hygiene
  • Try not to isolate yourself too much if ill
And so on... Probably there's more I couldn't think of, these are the ones I follow.
But a non-obvious one I heard of is not to do everything in your room or one place. Not to sleep, eat and work in your bed at the same time for example. (If) you have a kitchen – eat there, not in your room and so on. Any non-obvious tips you heard of or discovered yourself?

Heh, I like the juxtaposition you start off with in your post.

Well, one I used to do when I had more issues dealing with my feelings was go out at night late at night in pitch dark and no one else awake, into a football field close to my apartment. I'd walk out into the middle of the field and just lie down and look at the stars and try not to think of anything.
In general just walking late at night. Probably many places this wouldn't be safe to do so take with a grain of salt. Also even though I don't really scare easy in the dark it can be quite daunting but I guess that was also part of the allure.

If you ARE on a phone instead of mindless scrolling you can look for something new that you might like ^_^
For example if you like ____ music you look for a new band to listen to or reccomendations , if you like using emulator for playing games like me for example look for a game you didn't play yet , if you like crafting or drawing look for inspiration, if you like books look for a new book to read or return to something you allready know you like and just allow yourself to relax.
And last - have your favorite warm drink like cocoa , tea or coffee or your favorite food for lunch
