I have my scuba mask nitrogen method ready.
If I test to see how long it takes to pass out, once passed out, does consciousness come back quickly?
Any sequel?
Thank you

You'll pass out from lack of oxygen. If you don't eventually get oxygen you'll die. Don't mess around with this unless you're serious

That's not the way to test it--Use your oximeter also, but there is a delayed reaction so be careful(drop from 98 to 48 but jumped back quickly)----If I tested it with my EEBD hood the way you suggest, I'd be dead now--You don't fool with Nitrogen--Just take a few deep breaths then take the mask off and watch your oximeter

As you tell me, I have tried to breathe nitrogen with a mask (without straps to avoid danger, so the mask can fall if i dont keep it). After 8 breaths my oximeter read 45, do you think if I had kept breathing would I pass out? I felt short of breath and dizzy.
Thank you

What SCUBA mask are you using? The one on Scrooge's guide?

Drager mask
That's not a SCUBA mask, it's an SCBA mask (which is good too, it's my method too).

I think I'm seeing a flaw on your setup, seems like you are using a demand vale (which is designed to work with a pressure port) with a flow port. That's a flow regulator right?

Hello #Gasmonkey. I have this cylinder too. Which set up do you think could be better. I didn't understand what was wrong with the first set up. Thank you in avance.

Spanish right? 😜

I'm not completely sure if the regulator from the first setup is a pressure one or a flow one (coz the image is blurry). Pressure regulators maintain an output pressure (bar/psi), and flow regulators are basically just flow control valves (LPM). Some advanced regulators have both type of ports (like the escMode Stickstoff).

First stage Dräger SCBA regulators reduce the pressure of the cylinder to 7.5 bar (108 psi), so you need to send that pressure to the demand valve with a regulator capable of doing so. Looks like the cylinder of the second setup has a built-in pressure regulator, so setting that to 7.5 bar should be optimal.

The demand valve from the second setup looks like is a much more recent/modern Dräger model than the one you show in the first setup (which looks like a model from the late 90's).
