Hullo

I need advice on what y'all think I should do, should I try to continue trying or just end it all? I have a boyfriend I love very much, but he'll probably get over me and stuff. Been struggling since a young kid /w lots off attempts under our belt. Has never been to a psych ward because we have never been seen as severe enough, so that's not really a problem. Is a did system but everyone in the system has expected us to die relatively young sooo

May I ask if you are 18 or older ?

No one is allowed to tell you whether or not to give up. This is something that only you can decide.

Are you and your boyfriend both suicidal?

Here's my advice, and I'm inferring you're younger here, don't do anything rash. In many ways, people respond normally to the the situation they're placed in. I don't know your story but for context, I've been to several health professionals and I've never been given a diagnosis. This used to frustrate me to no end given my suicidal ideation, something clearly must have been wrong! The problem was my environment. Sometimes you are just having a normal response to the horror around you and you need to get away from it. If you're young, figuring out how to do that can be a challenge.

I'm here to talk if you need to vent or need help to determine what's wrong.

I think with questions like this, it's always a personal decision deciding what to do.

Imo it sounds like you shouldn't give up. Not because I don't believe in autonomy but because it sounds like you still have hope. The fact you're thinking about trying to improve your situation, get better, and try to continue your life means a lot. It's worth a try, I think. There's no rush at all even if you do want to ctb. You won't get a second chance to recover if you're dead. Despite having a difficult life so far, some people can move past it. Some people can build a life worth living. It's not necessarily a guarantee but you won't be hurt by trying.

I completely agree with this, especially the bolded parts.
