Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

You both seem to be very optimistic. How about option #4 - you get rid of the bag shortly before losing consciousness and wake up with alveolar damage and haemorrhage in the lungs? If you wonder how this could be possible, check the effects of high concentrations of CO2 on laboratory animals.

this is a great and cheap method, i honestly don't want to die with a salty taste in my mouth
Can someone help with making the bag. I understood that you mix the baking soda and the citric acid, then wait for the bag to grow, after it grows, you put your head inside. Is that correct?
Nooo sorry for being unclear. If you open the ziplock to put ur head inside, all the CO2 will escape.
Once the ziplock bag grows, you put it into a trash bag. Then u put ur head in the trash bag and seal around neck with rubber band. Then u open the ziplock. Like using ur hands which are outside the sealed bag you can open the sliding zipper.
You need zipper bag tho, not the press n seal kind. Cuz ur hands will be outside.

Way too noxious & distressing. The rise in C02 will cause involuntary gasping for air & in distress, SI kicking in.
Too much to go wrong. Too high a chance of winding up hospitalized & physically or mentally debilitated & further suffering
You won't be able to hold on for that long if ur conscious. The feeling is...intense. No matter how much u overcome...

It is very noxious and distressing, agreed. But no risk. And should be quick.
Ooooooh I'm not sure cuz idk about those ranks but if it worked it would definitely be less nauseating.
Tested this, out of curiosity, with pre-mixed reactants just in the bottom of a trash bag with water, no organized containment system or sealing. Three or four breaths had me on the verge of blacking out and faceplanting into the ground. I'm still a little shaken up, nauseous and going through some kind of disassociated life review.
Not to be taken lightly. At all.

A sense of burning and discomfort/mainly. No acute pain as such.
Dizziness first definitely. I was surprised by how it progressed after I'd removed my head from the enclosed space. I've always had vestibular issues so that may have something to do with it.
I'd reiterate that this was a test not an attempt. Nothing was sealed or tied.

I feel so guilty now. I posted this when I first joined the platform and I wanted to die, which I still do, but it just seemed so much less, idk, real at the time. But now it's hit me that it's a real person behind every post. I didn't think about anyone actually using my idea. That makes me so sad. I know we're all pro cbt but now I might be responsible for people dying!? That's crazy. And not in a good way.
Sorry, idek the point of this

I think we both signed up here at roughly the same time, and I think I was feeling pretty much like you just described. Your thread about the helium method was one of the first ones I replied to, about how to check for oxygen in the helium. I think my CTB desire went down about 1-2 weeks later, and I realized that I'd given you tips, and I realized what that actually meant... I understand how you are feeling... really, in those states it felt really abstract, like a theoretical puzzle we were trying to solve.

Just tried baking soda and citric acid in a plastic bag. It nearly worked. I purposely lowered the concentration because it was more a trial , not day of. It nearly worked. Since my CO2 concentration was too low, it was obviously not instantaneous and pretty physically distressing, but in a few more seconds, I would have lost consciousness. I could already feel myself starting to blackout. If you increase the concentration , should be pretty instantaneous. And if it isn't , you can always take the bag off.
Materials:
40 Liter Trash bag
Large ziplock bag
Rubber Band
Citric Acid
Baking Soda
Water
Mixing:
Depending on the size of your bag, mix enough baking soda, citric acid in the ziplock. Use the largest possible ziplock in the smallest possible trash bag. Leave it mostly closed, just have a small opening. Pour water in and quickly close the bag. Wait for it to expand. Experiment a few times to make sure you get the maximum expansion while making sure it doesn't burst/pop.
Setting up bag:
Put the ziplock in the trash bag , with the zip side facing up. Sit down, and put the bag over your head. Not completely above your head, more like the bag is hanging down so the ziplock is below your face. Use the elastic rubber band to secure the bag around your neck.
Final:
Open the ziplock. CO2 will quickly fill the space.
I have seen other threads about this where people say it will not work, but that is not true. Even if you are scared of the pain, keep scissors in your hand. In case the concentration is not enough and it takes too long, you can cut it off.
Ok so just so I got it. I need like black trash bag. I need a large bottle, maybe those 1 liter soda bottles. Use baking soda and citric acid. But what is the measurement for both. Tablespoons? Cups? Also what do you think of using a CO2 measurement device and stick the needle in and wait for it to build up? And then just like quickly open the bag and put your head in?

Nope I messed up. Still wondering the measurements tho for the ingredients.
You need approximately 789 grams of baking soda which can be found in 2lb boxes . You also need 850 grams of cirtric acid which runs in bigger bags that also hold 2 lbs worth ... both 2lb products are 907 grams and are pretty inexpensive.
Hmm so it does work
I'm a bit interested in this , it's cheap and easy to do.

Where did you get that info? Also 2lbs? That's quite a bit. Especially if a trash bag is over my head and I have this stuff in a container or ziploc bag

You don't need so much baking soda and citric acid for filling a relatively small trash bag (20 liters or smaller). 252 g of baking soda + 210 g of citric acid monohydrate can produce up to 22 - 24 liters of CO2. Some portion of the produced gas will remain dissolved in water.
I don't get it... isn't trying to suffocate yourself with carbon dioxide very distressing? What is the advantage of this versus just tying a plastic bag around your head and waiting for CO2 to build up?

Loss of consciousness from inhaling CO2 at concentrations of 30% or above happens in a few seconds, and inhalation seems quite bearable according to some reports. For example, check this
Hi guys, this is my first post and I wanted to share something I’ve been researching (through I haven’t completed all of the research yet). Carbon Dioxide (co2) the natural gas we emit when exhaling could be a very effective and almost entirely painless way to ctb within 10-15 minutes. The...

And, by the way, I can't recall anyone telling about sequelae from attempting CO2 inhalation.

Interesting thanks. My current plan is to do ligature strangulation with a black bin bag over my head. I will hopefully lose consciousness quickly via the strangulation, and the lack of oxygen/CO2 build up in the bag will finish me off while I'm unconscious (if I don't manage to tie my ligature well enough to sustain enough pressure).
If for some reason all of that still fails, maybe I will consider this.

Correction: it's 3x 22 - 24 liters, that is about 70 liters of CO2, 22 - 24 liters would be produced from a reaction of 84 g of baking soda and 70 g of citric acid monohydrate.
