Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I don't plan on doing it, but why won't more people synthesize N? the ingredients are legal to get if I am not wrong I doubt you need heavy duty equipment e.g peanut project.

Am I missing something??

I would like to figure that out. But I am not a chemist. I'll have to look into this.

After a short google search, I presume this something you're referring to: https://www.chemicalbook.com/synthesis/pentobarbital.htm

Seems complicated for people who 1. Do not have the equipment and 2. The need for a bunch of chemicals that are definitley not available OTC.

yeah equipment is probably 6k+ additionally you actually need to test if what u created is pure, so that could easily be another 10k if u want ur own equipment. also the unavailability of diethyl ethyl 1 methylbutyl malonate might also be an issue

Well, if you were to find a source for it in China, you might as well just buy the finished product there.

But even that is impossible. They've tightened everything up wherever possible, too.

There are two sets of instructions available online. One is "simpler"—it doesn't actually sound that hard—but it requires the immediate precursor substance. And that substance is, of course, just as restricted as "N" is.
If anyone tried to buy it—even a laboratory—it would be immediately obvious what they intended to manufacture.

And the longer route—which is likely what the project was originally designed for—is certainly not something for a private individual with no knowledge of chemistry.

That project was only possible back then because a chemist was on hand, essentially telling people exactly what to do, step by step.
That way, everyone could manufacture their own product and bear personal responsibility for it.

Yes, you would need to know a chemist. Or someone in China with excellent connections to those companies.
